Is the U.S. Republic ending? 8 striking parallels between the Fall of Rome and the U.S.

Lawrence Lessig’s Republic Lost documents the corrosive effect of money on our political process. Lessig persuasively makes the case that we are witnessing the loss of our republican form of government, as politicians increasingly represent those who fund their campaigns, rather than our citizens.

Anthony Everitt’s Rise of Rome is fascinating history and a great read. It tells the story of ancient Rome, from its founding (circa 750 BCE) to the fall of the Roman Republic (circa 45 BCE).

When read together, striking parallels emerge — between our failings and the failings that destroyed the Roman Republic. As with Rome just before the Republic’s fall, America has seen:

1 — Staggering Increase in the Cost of Elections, with Dubious Campaign Funding Sources: Our 2012 election reportedly cost $3 billion. All of it was raised from private sources – often creating the appearance, or the reality, that our leaders are beholden to special interest groups. During the late Roman Republic, elections became staggeringly expensive, with equally deplorable results. Caesar reportedly borrowed so heavily for one political campaign, he feared he would be ruined, if not elected.

2 — Politics as the Road to Personal Wealth: During the late Roman Republic period, one of the main roads to wealth was holding public office, and exploiting such positions to accumulate personal wealth. As Lessig notes: Congressman, Senators and their staffs leverage their government service to move to private sector positions – that pay three to ten times their government compensation. Given this financial arrangement, “Their focus is therefore not so much on the people who sent them to Washington. Their focus is instead on those who will make them rich.” (Republic Lost)

3 — Continuous War: A national state of security arises, distracting attention from domestic challenges with foreign wars. Similar to the late Roman Republic, the US – for the past 100 years — has either been fighting a war, recovering from a war, or preparing for a new war: WW I (1917-18), WW II (1941-1945), Cold War (1947-1991), Korean War (1950-1953), Vietnam (1953-1975), Gulf War (1990-1991), Afghanistan (2001-ongoing), and Iraq (2003-2011). And, this list is far from complete.

4 — Foreign Powers Lavish Money/Attention on the Republic’s Leaders: Foreign wars lead to growing influence, by foreign powers and interests, on the Republic’s political leaders — true for Rome and true for us. In the past century, foreign embassies, agents and lobbyists have proliferated in our nation’s capital. As one specific example: A foreign businessman donated $100 million to Bill Clinton‘s various activities. Clinton “opened doors” for him, and sometimes acted in ways contrary to stated American interests and foreign policy.

5 — Profits Made Overseas Shape the Republic’s Internal Policies: As the fortunes of Rome’s aristocracy increasingly derived from foreign lands, Roman policy was shaped to facilitate these fortunes. American billionaires and corporations increasingly influence our elections. In many cases, they are only nominally American – with interests not aligned with those of the American public. For example, Fox News is part of international media group News Corp., with over $30 billion in revenues worldwide. Is Fox News’ jingoism a product of News Corp.’s non-U.S. interests?

6 — Collapse of the Middle Class: In the period just before the Roman Republic’s fall, the Roman middle class was crushed — destroyed by cheap overseas slave labor. In our own day, we’ve witnessed rising income inequality, a stagnating middle class, and the loss of American jobs to overseas workers who are paid less and have fewer rights.

7 — Gerrymandering: Rome’s late Republic used various methods to reduce the power of common citizens. The GOP has so effectively gerrymandered Congressional districts that, even though House Republican candidates received only about 48 percent of the popular vote in the 2012 election — they ended up with the majority (53 percent) of the seats.

8 — Loss of the Spirit of Compromise: The Roman Republic, like ours, relied on a system of checks and balances. Compromise is needed for this type of system to function. In the end, the Roman Republic lost that spirit of compromise, with politics increasingly polarized between Optimates (the rich, entrenched elites) and Populares (the common people). Sound familiar? Compromise is in noticeably short supply in our own time also. For example, “There were more filibusters between 2009 and 2010 than there were in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s combined.”

As Benjamin Franklin observed, we have a Republic — but only if we can keep it.

In response to the question in the title I can report that most of my readers are. Almost everyone got the point of the last column. They see the absurdity of the government’s claim that the identity of the tough, macho Navy Seals, who allegedly murdered Osama bin Laden, has to be kept secret in order to protect our fierce warriors from reprisals from Muslim terrorists, while those government officials responsible for the torture and deaths of large numbers of Muslims can walk around, identity known, unprotected and safe.

A few members of Congress are also awake, but not very many. Indeed, we are losing two of the most aware – Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul. Kucinich was redistricted in order to get rid of his independent voice. He carried 75% of the votes from that part of his old district that was included in his new one, but the new voters lacked the intelligence to vote for him. Ron Paul, in our time of tribulation, tried for the Republican presidential nomination on a platform of saving the US Constitution, but those who voted in Republican primaries weren’t interested in saving the US Constitution.

Now we are down to US Rep. Walter Jones.

Initially, Jones was a member of the warmonger crowd. He was angered when the French government cast doubt on the George W. Bush regime’s reasons for the need for war in Afghanistan and Iraq. Jones said at that time that he was renaming French Fries “Freedom Fries.”

Jones unplugged from the Matrix and has been sentient for some time. Recently the tyrant Obama and the government operative Panetta, a political whore who has been in a variety of government positions and is currently Secretary of Warmongering, announced publicly that, the US Constitution notwithstanding, the executive branch no longer needed the authority of Congress to go to war. In our globalist existence, the authority for the US to initiate hostilities against another country comes from the UN, declared Obama and Panetta. If the executive branch can persuade or bribe the UN to give a war OK, Congress is no longer relevant.

This was too much for the awakened US Rep. Walter Jones. He has introduced House Congressional Resolution 107, which clearly states that the president’s use of US military in an act of aggression without the consent of Congress is an impeachable offense.

There is absolutely no question whatsoever that Rep. Jones is correct. However, you can bet that the Obama regime already has a John Yoo-type hireling busy at work in the Department of Justice (sic) writing a legal memo that the US Constitution gives no authority to Congress to declare war.

A person would think that members of Congress would flock to Rep. Jones’ resolution.

After all, it is Congress’ own power that is on the line. Normally, organizations defend their own power. Strangely, the US Congress has not defended its power since Roosevelt’s “New Deal” in the 1930s. Because of the crisis of the Great Depression, Congress gave up its law-making powers to the executive agencies created by Roosevelt to run the country.

Congress pretends to still be in control by having “oversight” over the ruling executive cabinet departments and agencies. Cabinet secretaries, assistant sectaries, and CIA directors have to go testify and be questioned before congressional committees and all that, like the Federal Reserve chairman who has unaccountable power over interest rates and inflation, but the laws are made by the executive branch.

Ever since the 1930s, when Congress passes a law it is merely an authorization for some executive branch agency to define the law by writing the regulations. As the executive agency also enforces the regulations, we have the beginnings of tyranny as the same agency both makes the law and enforces it. (See, for example, Paul Craig Roberts and Lawrence M. Stratton, The Tyranny of Good Intentions, Ch. 11, “Abdicating Legislative Power.”)

The roots of tyranny in america go back to the 1930s and even further back to President Lincoln. The decline of Congress, which was created by the Founding Fathers to be a powerful political institution, has been a long term process. However, in recent years the decline of Congress’ power and relevance has accelerated. The Democrats are as responsible for this as Republicans. If US law had been enforced, and Democrats could have enforced the law, George W. Bush and essentially the entirety of his appointees would be in federal prison.

But the Democrats sacrificed the people’s power over government in order that the executive branch could protect us from a terrorism for which no evidence exists. No terrorist events have occurred since September 11, 2001, except for FBI orchestrated plots that “never endangered the public.” As for the government’s 9/11 story, thousands of experts have their doubts.

So, the US Constitution has simply been discarded on the basis of fear. First, the fear of the Great Depression, and secondly, the fear of Muslim Terrorism.

The United States of America is the Constitution. If the Constitution no longer exists as an enforceable document taken seriously by political elites, the United States no longer exists. Some other entity has taken its place.

Think about that. Describe to yourself the characteristics of this new entity. This will be easier for older people than for the young, who have been born into the new tyranny.

For the young, tyranny is all they know. For the young, tyranny is normal.

How old does a person have to be to remember when you boarded an airliner without any security? In previous columns I have pointed out the tiny, essentially insignificant infractions, that led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon in order to avoid impeachment. Compared to Bush or Obama, Nixon was flawless in his observation of US law and the US Constitution. No one of my generation can possibly imagine Nixon saying that the UN could replace Congress’ authority to initiate war, or that he could strip US citizens of their liberty and lives on suspicion alone without evidence or due process of law, simply on the basis of executive decree. All Nixon did was to lie about when he learned of a burglary of which he had no prior knowledge and no involvement.

The loss of our liberty is where we are today. Rep. Jones wants to retrieve Congress’ war-making power. He says that those americans who wish to support this goal should inform their Senators and Representative and local newspaper of this fact. He provides the telephone number of the congressional switchboard which can connect you to the three offices that, allegedly, represent you. The number is 202 224-3121.

As you know, I keep trying, and so must we all. If we don’t keep trying, it means we accept our loss of our liberty and accountable government. If we give in now, what was the point of resisting the Soviet threat, other than profits and power for the military/security complex?

The US government and its media whores, presstitutes as Gerald Celente calls them, show increasing contempt for the intelligence, or lack thereof, of the american public. Even americans spaced out on alcohol, drugs, junk food, television and sports events remember the name Osama bin Laden. This person, formerly an operative of the US government against the Soviet Union, was, we were told, the embodiment of total evil. He was responsible for 9/11.

President George W. Bush declared that Afghanistan’s refusal (apparently another Bush regime lie) to deliver Osama, the alleged (no proof) perpetrator of 9/11, to US authorities was the justification for attacking Afghanistan, a country at that time, as now, with two separate governments at war with one another. Shortly thereafter, Osama became, magically, the reason to invade Iraq, an old US ally who had attacked the government of the Iranian Revolution at Washington’s behest.

Suddenly america’s Iraqi ally had nonexistent “weapons of mass destruction” that threatened american cities, in the words of Bush’s moronic National Security Advisor, with “mushroom clouds.”

How did all this absurdity occur? Yes, what Gerald Celente aptly designates as “the presstitute media” played a role. However, the whores were serving their customers, which are the government and private interests that benefit from war. The American public could have rejected the spin, but they put yellow ribbon decals on their SUVs and supported the troops.

If americans were puzzled when the US government abandoned its position that Osama bin Laden was responsible for 9/11 and announced a new “mastermind,” Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the presstitutes didn’t mention it. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was designated the “mastermind of 9/11” because the US government had in custody this hapless individual, perhaps sold to them by warlords for the bounty paid for “terrorists.” There’s no good in having a mastermind of 9/11 whom you cannot catch. So Khalid Sheikh Mohammed became the Mastermind of 9/11.

Once designated the Mastermind, the CIA torturers went to work on him, illegally, of course, but who cares, here was the Mastermind of 9/11.
After Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was water-boarded 183 times with the only evidence against him being coerced self-incrimination, both the former chief US prosecutor at Guantanamo, Colonel Morris Davis, and Admiral Donald Guter, Judge Advocate General of the US Navy, dismissed the Guantanamo military tribunal trials as show trials or “circuses.”

Indeed, the american trials of alleged “terrorists” are even less lawful than Stalin’s show trials of the Bolsheviks, who created the Russian Revolution in 1917, and Hitler’s trials of the German military who attempted to assassinate him in order to save Germany from destruction.

When america’s own chief military prosecutors denounce trials of alleged “terrorists,” the media and the public should take notice. But not in america where the government believes its own lies as fervently as the brainwashed public believes the presstitute media.

Astonishingly, before a show trial could dispatch Khalid Sheikh Mohammed as the Mastermind of 9/11, the US government has produced a new culprit. It was not Osama bin Laden nor Sheikh Mohammed, but Iran that is responsible for 9/11. In a US federal court judgment issued in December 2011, Iran was found guilty of the 9/11 attacks (ref).

So who is responsible for 9/11? If not bin Laden, why did the Navy Seals allegedly murder him? If not Sheikh Mohammed, why is he being put on trial after being tortured for years?

The answer is that the criminals in Washington, who control our lives, no longer care about any of their previous propaganda. They now want to attack another country on totally false pretenses, as does the extreme right-wing Israeli government, the cancer of the Middle East.

Some of the Israeli military brass and much of the Israeli security/intelligence brass oppose an attack on Iran as an act of insanity. Yet, little, if any of the Israeli opposition to war has been reported in the US presstitute media. In order to negate internal opposition, the Israeli prime minister has formed a unity government with the main opposition party, as AIPAC stampedes the US Congress into voting for war with Iran (ref).

If the unaware american population can be programmed to believe that Iran is the 9/11 culprit, then Washington can initiate yet another war that enriches the military/security complex with money and power.

Will bin Laden’s family now sue Washington for blaming Osama for an offense which Washington now acknowledges he was not guilty? Will Sheikh Mohammed be found guiltless, because a US federal court now says it was Iran that was responsible for 9/11?

These would be the results if america had a justice system that was independent of the needs of the political elites and the private interests that they serve. But today in america the ruling interests produce by hook or crook justifications for war that serve the power and profit of the military/security complex. Whatever the mainstream media tells you serves this interest.

So, how do we rescue America from its government and from the corrupt media that serves as a Ministry of Truth for a corrupt government?

Prosecutors demand 5-year sentence for Berlusconi over witness tampering

Prosecutors have demanded a five-year prison sentence for former Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi in his trial on corruption charges.

Prosecutor Fabio De Pasquale asked the court on Wednesday to find the former PM guilty of having paid a British lawyer $600,000 to lie in other trials.

Those proceedings involve charges of tax evasion and false accounting during Berlusconi’s business career.

Other cases pending against him in the Milan courts include a trial on charges of having paid for sex with an underage prostitute. Berlusconi stepped down as the Premier in November last year.

EVERY EFFORT WILL BE MADE TO REASSURE AND PROTECT THE PUBLIC

The people who are about to do this are well aware of every concern you have — as an informed reader of truth websites and materials.

Martial law will NOT be declared when this happens.

Our warriors pledged their lives to protect us. The world is not in a cartoon war between “good” and “evil”, with everyone in government, corporations, media and military on the “dark” side.

Our brave and valiant soldiers have taken an oath: To protect the Constitution of the United States, and its people, against all enemies — foreign AND domestic.

They did not pledge their lives — their blood — to keep a handful of sociopathic, genocidal bankers in control of the planet, its people and its resources.

We all have to live here. And if your superiors are systematically killing the planet, they are not superior.

They are similar to a massive infection that must be treated with powerful antibiotics — before it destroys the host.

Everyone has seen enough Illuminati movies by now to know that if you work for these people, no matter how high up or important you think you may be, they will undoubtedly betray you.

IT’S TIME TO READ THE TEA LEAVES

Many, many top generals left active duty, since Bush I, because they realized what was happening — but they certainly did not retire.

We all owe them a significant debt of gratitude.

Everything is now coming to a head — very rapidly.

The signs may be mysterious, but they are increasingly obvious.

We will review some of them in this investigation.

IT MAY SEEM DIFFICULT TO BELIEVE

I do understand the difficulty of believing that such a massive, coordinated maneuver would even be possible.

If you speak to real military people, and truly understand the role they chose to fulfill, the bigger question is: “How could they NOT do something like this?”

How could they stand by and do nothing while the entire planet itself — and all life on it — is being destroyed?

If a mother and child are being tortured to death in front of you, and you have the means to stop it, would you just stand there and watch?

Unless you are a sociopath, you would do something. And most people — including our military personnel — are not sociopaths. That number is only estimated to be 1 in 100 people, as we will see later on.

IT WOULDN’T HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE IN A STRICTLY ‘CLOSED’ SYSTEM

Nonetheless, the scope of the negative side is so vast that it seemed impossible to be defeated — or even resisted.

If our planet was a strictly ‘closed’ system with no outside players and no higher spiritual forces involved, I would definitely have to agree that this plan is so well-thought out, so massive, systemic and vast that it would be nearly impossible to defeat.

However, Divine Intervention — not a fantasy, but very real and very tangible assistance — is insuring that our movement into true freedom and peace will occur… with the absolute minimum amount of damage possible.

Dozens of ancient cultures featured the same prophecies about the times we are now in. These prophecies all directed our attention to a 26,000-year cycle in the Earth’s axis as being the key issue to study.

As I revealed in The Source Field Investigations, the Mayan Calendar, Egyptian astronomy, Greek astronomy and Hindu astronomy all triangulated on the period of 2012-2014 as the end of the cycle — ushering in a Golden Age of peace and prosperity.

For that same reason, in the first section of this investigation, we will go through a variety of pieces of current-day evidence — showing how Financial Tyranny is already very, very close to collapsing.

One of the most shocking pieces of evidence is a very public divorce between warring Illuminati factions — namely JP Morgan/Federal Reserve versus the occult powers that have secretly occupied and seized control of the Vatican.

After reviewing many of these types of current examples, we will then debut brand-new whistleblower testimony — suggesting 9/11 was indeed an “inside job.”

Some of this material has already been distributed online. However, I will be featuring many other fascinating data points that have remained highly classified and unavailable to the public up until now.

Then as we head into Section III, we will open up the vault, so to speak — and explore an astonishing wealth of data that helps explain who is performing these increasingly bizarre interventions — and why.

This stunning body of information has been available to us all along — and has been almost completely overlooked.

Most of the pages I gathered this data from still have less than 50 hits — as of today’s date.

TIME-ENCODED PROPHECIES

Section III will add incredible context to everything we’ve discussed up until then… and you won’t want to miss it. I myself didn’t realize what we really had until I went back and did the “homework.”

Some of this new data came in the form of highly clever time-encoded prophecies that could not be fully understood and appreciated until the actual dates took place.

As it turns out, the date of March 13th, 2012 was given, years in advance, as a pivotal moment in the defeat of the Old World Order. This was all documented — and can easily be verified.

I was stunned to discover this data, for the first time, on March 11, 2012. I would have loved to have been fast enough to get it posted the next day, but this investigation could not be rushed.

March 13th was also when the ancient cycles of the Mayan Calendar went into full lock-step synchronization — regardless of which of three counting systems you use.

 

These cycles will now remain harmonized — right straight through until the Calendar’s conclusion on December 21, 2012.

Of course, perma-skeptics will immediately get a satisfying laugh from this — and that’s fine — but in The Source Field Investigations, chapter 16, page 337-358, I proved that the Mayan Calendar cycles are all neatly tied in with planetary and celestial movements.

There is solid scientific data for how planetary movements affect human behavior and emotions, which I am incorporating into my new book, The Synchronicity Key, due out this fall.

BREATHTAKING REAL-WORLD CORRELATION TO THE PROPHECY

A very interesting real-world correlation occurred around the prophetic March 13th date.

The very next day after this cycle synchronization occurred — March 14th, 2012 — a top Goldman Sachs official blew the whistle on Financial Tyranny… triggering an avalanche that has only just begun.

Goldman Sachs is one of the main Federal Reserve banking families — along with the likes of JP Morgan, the Rockefellers and the Rothschilds.

THOSE WHO ARE OUTSIDE OF TIME

I have had many personal examples of “angelic” or “extraterrestrial” forces bending time and giving me accurate prophecies. Many of them have been documented on this website.

As one recent example, last February I published very powerful dreams telling me “the next disaster on the scope of the BP oil spill” was about to occur — and three weeks later we had the Fukushima nuclear disaster.

The UFO cover-up has been a key part of this insider world all along. Modern computer technology is only one of many tools we have reverse-engineered from this “celestial endowment” of deliberately crashed discs.

UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES

Our opinions have been cleverly manipulated by a vast, occult conspiracy going back hundreds of years in the past — if not thousands.

The higher forces ultimately are not allowed to intervene, beyond a certain level, before a given moment in time. That moment has now arrived — as has been predicted for thousands of years.

Prior to the moment of mass, public Divine Intervention, the negative forces on Earth will be confused — as many of their dirty tricks will be allowed to occur, while many others — far more devastating — are completely blocked.

The negative elite intended for 9/11 to be the “kill shot” that would defeat all resistance — and usher in the New World Order.

History has a great sense of irony, as 9/11 became the critical error that triggered a global awakening — and ensured the cabal’s own defeat.

This is almost certainly why it was allowed to occur — by the same higher forces that are now systematically preventing much greater atrocities from occurring.

The enormous scope of these interventions will become clear as you read Section II — and they have been ongoing since at least the dawning of the nuclear age.

The evidence that will be presented will leave no conceivable room for doubt — except, perhaps, for those most addicted to “fear porn”, who automatically assume whatever they see, hear and read must be the opposite of the truth — regardless of the evidence.

Benjamin Fulford, former Asia-Pacific bureau chief for Forbes Magazine, has been covering this evolving story on a week-by-week basis for well over three years now — and other sources have since come forward.

Fulford spoke for over a year about a lawsuit that would help break open this vast conspiracy — and end Financial Tyranny. An exact date for the filing of the complaint was given as it got closer.

THE SIGNS ARE ALREADY THERE — 450 TOP CEOs FLEE THE SINKING SHIP

The vast majority of trouble in the world is being generated by a highly occult, highly secretive elite, hidden away in the G5 countries — and manipulating the financial system, politicians and militaries behind the scenes.

There are increasingly blatant signals that the mass arrests are about to happen. CEOs and top corporate executives are now resigning in massive numbers.

“American Kabuki” has diligently cataloged an incredible 450 confirmed resignations — just since September 1, 2011 — in chronological order, complete with supporting links in every case.

The number of resignations has significantly increased in the last 2-3 months, including an astonishing number of very high-profile people.

For example, there was a remarkable 48-percent increase in the number of CEO resignations just between the months of December and January — as you are about to see.

Skeptics — who may well be paid disinformants — have tried to write this off as all part of the normal turnover in the corporate world. However, a Fiscal Times article from February 23rd clearly revealed this is not “normal” at all.

In particular, the revolving door is spinning faster among health care and financial services executives, who are jumping ship, retiring, or being forced out at a quicker clip than their counterparts in other industries.

Last month, 25 health care CEOs and 13 financial services CEOs departed, making those sectors the two biggest culprits of the rising turnover tide.

A growing push from the federal government to police the financial services industry and clamp down on executive compensation is prompting the exodus of CEOs in the financial services industry, said Don Hambrick, a professor at Penn State’s Smeal School of Business….

The number of CEOs who left their posts in January spiked by 48 percent over December, rising to 123 – the highest level since May 2010, according to data from outplacement service firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas.

Fifty-one percent resigned or stepped down, 26 percent retired, and only 9 percent left to take other jobs….

While changes at the top may unnerve some employees, rarely do CEO switches bring about mass terminations of existing employees, [Matt McGreal, a principal at Crist|Kolder Associates, a CEO search firm] said.

 

STUNNING CHANGES ARE UNDERWAY

The 450 resignations are documented, proven, and cannot be shot down.

This Fiscal Times article is our key to prove that this is real enough to be tracked by the media, and is in no way part of “normal turnover” in the corporate world.

MASS ARRESTS HAVE ALREADY STARTED

Mass arrests have already taken place against senior staff of the Fox-owned Sun tabloid in England in three separate bursts — now encompassing 21 top Sun employees under “Operation Weeting”.

In case you haven’t followed this story, Fox (News Corporation) was working with the police and the government to tap people’s phone calls and voicemails — and publish disparaging information on celebrities and public figures through these ill-gotten means.

When you include the two other known operations that have been reported — code-named Elveden and Tuleta — the total number of arrests has now encompassed a stunning 47 people.

Call them nontroversies, poutrages or pseudo-scandals. Since the 2008 elections, the conservative media have peddled a seemingly endless series of trumped-up non-stories, pitched as scandals rivaling Watergate, to their loyal rubes in an attempt to paint liberals, the media, scientists, Democrats and Obama – and other enemies of the Wingnut State – as perfidious, dishonest or downright treasonous.

A few of them have borne some remote resemblance to reality, but many of their pseudo-scandals featured no more substance than the bizarre right-wing emails your crazy uncle credulously forwards around to friends and family. Yet, with a dedicated conservative media headed by Fox News, many have been mainstreamed on the right, with some spurring calls for investigation by the GOP-led House. Those calls, in turn, then become stories for Fox News and other conservative outlets — it’s a feedback loop full of crazy.

We decided to take a look at the 10 shakiest mythological scandals of the past year. Of course, the list isn’t comprehensive, because there’s a new one every week.

1. Islamic Menace Soiling Our Pure American Turkeys

It’s been a typically weird year for dark conspiracy theories about Muslims. Noted Islamophobic nutjob Robert Spencer told us that “the Leftist/jihadist alliance has been on abundant display during the Occupy protests.” We also learned that the Muslim Brotherhood has “infiltrated every level of our government,” and we were shocked to discover that even that yuppie stalwart, Whole Foods, was promoting radical Islam. Or something.

But the cake was taken by none other than Pam Geller, nuttiest of the nutjobs, who has in the past accused Dunkin’ Donuts – and the Food Network’s Rachael Ray – of promoting jihad and argued that the Arabic language itself “is the spearhead of an ideological project that is deeply opposed to the United States.”

How does one top that kind of crazy? Let’s let Geller explain:

A citizen activist and reader of my website AtlasShrugs.com wrote to Butterball, one of the most popular producers of Thanksgiving turkeys in the United States, asking them if their turkeys were halal. Wendy Howze, a Butterball Consumer Response Representative, responded: “Our whole turkeys are certified halal.”

In a little-known strike against freedom, yet again, we are being forced into consuming meat slaughtered by means of a torturous method: Islamic slaughter.

She then launches into a description of “Islamic slaughter,” which sounds exactly the way animals are slaughtered under Kosher law.

And then finishes with a flourish…

Why should we be forced to conform to Islamic norms? It’s Islamic supremacism on the march, yet again.

Yet again!

2. And They’re Taking Over the Conservative Movement

Staying on the theme, we get to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the biggest wingnut gab-fest of the year. This year was special because, according to the fever swamps, we learned that CPAC’s organizers were in the bag not only for Islamic extremists – they’re everywhere, after all – but also the gays, because a gay Republican group called GOProud was allowed to attend this year’s shindig.

Roy Edroso braved the wingnut blogs to bring us the tale of how jihadists infiltrated this important event.

The accusations of jihad-friendliness were spurred by the presence at CPAC of Arab Indian-American former Bush Administration official Suhail Khan, whom some rightbloggers claim is a member of the militant Muslim Brotherhood — a charge Khan has denied, which denial Frank Gaffney dismisses as “a bit of taqiyya (lying for the faith).”

Khan took part in a CPAC panel called “The Importance of Faith and Religious Liberty.” “Islamic Rights Promoted At CPAC,” Judicial Watch warned the nation. “Muslim Brotherhood supporters and sympathizers promoted Islamic tolerance.”‘

Two ardent anti-Muslim rightbloggers with their own CPAC panels were outraged. Pam Geller said the whole event had been “corrupted and compromised by the Muslim Brotherhood… look at the panels, they’re either clueless or complicit.” David Horowitz of NewsRealBlog told his CPAC auditors Khan was “sponsored by his longtime patron Grover Norquist,” implying the former Bush official was in on the whole dirty Islamicist deal.

A flyer denouncing “Grover Khan” was circulated at CPAC; suggesting this two-headed beast was trying to “boil the Conservative frog slowly” so “he’ll stay in the pot till he’s cooked.”

3. Muffin-Gate

In 2009, the Department of Justice sponsored a conference in a swanky Washington DC hotel that charged $14.29 per attendee for a breakfast of fresh fruit, coffee and muffins, and “rental fees for the workshop space and conference rooms.” That’s not exactly an exorbitant fee, but in September, when the DOJ’s inspector general issued a report – later corrected – suggesting that the department had paid $16 per muffin, “Muffin-gate” was born, a symbol of wasteful government spending that the right latched onto like … well, like a right-winger latches onto a faux scandal involving the Obama administration.

In what may be the most “meta” conspiracy theory of the year, Fox’s Steve Doocey suggested that the only reason the network’s endless parade of half-cooked scandals never caught on was the mainstream media’s hopeless liberal bias. But when Huffington Post’s Sam Stein looked at the media’s coverage of Muffin-gate, he found that of 223 news stories that mentioned the “$16 muffins” from September 20-28, only 37 attempted to correct the record.

4. Mussolini Also Leaned on Ford

In 2011, Ford ran an ad featuring a customer saying that he’d chosen not to buy a car from one of the company’s bailed-out Detroit competitors because, “I was going to buy from a manufacturer that’s standing on their own: win, lose, or draw.” The company planned on airing the ad for four weeks, and did just that – not much of a story.

But then a Detroit News opinion columnist, citing no sources whatsoever, wrote that, “Ford pulled the ad after individuals inside the White House questioned whether the copy was publicly denigrating the controversial bailout policy.” Ford denied the charge, repeatedly, but as you might imagine, a right-wing meme that will probably be with us forever was born.

“Fox News Lies” – Interpreting how Media’s uses NLP Neuro-linguistic programming to shape opinion

This superb analysis perfectly illustrates how media manipulates the masses to believe things we know not to be true. This piece uses Fox News as an example of how our opinions and beliefs are shaped on a subconscious level in a very subtle, but highly effective manner.

Only a well trained eye has the ability to analyze the secret language of NLP, as a result very few people are left unaffected from the propaganda   it’s used extensively by organizations like Fox News to manipulate, even brainwash the public in a very dangerous manner.

Neuro-linguistic programming (or NLP) is a controversial interpersonal communication model applied in psychotherapy and other contexts of communication and change. It was initially co-created by Richard Bandler and linguist John Grinder in the 1970s based on the communication and behavioral patterns acquired from gestalt therapist Fritz Perls, family systems therapist Virginia Satir and psychiatrist Milton H. As eavesdroppers go, next to Uncle Sam and John Bull, Rupert Murdoch, the moral force behind Fox News, is an amateur. That’s because a global eavesdropping scheme being run today by the United States and Great Britain dwarfs anything that Rupert Murdoch’s editors at The News of The World (TNTW) ever dared attempt. British Prime Minister David Cameron may well deny he knew TNTW was tapping the phones of members of UK’s Royal household or those of American 9/11 victims. But he can’t claim he doesn’t know his country is a partner in ECHELON, which, according to Washington journalist Bill Blum, is a “network of massive, highly automated interception stations” that is eavesdropping on the entire world. “Like a mammoth vacuum cleaner in the sky, the National Security Agency (NSA) sucks it all up: home phone, office phone, cellular phone, email, fax, telex…satellite transmissions, fiber-optic communications traffic, microwave links, voice, text images (that are) captured by satellites continuously orbiting the earth and then processed by high-powered computers,” Blum writes in his book “Rogue State” (Common Courage Press). Calling it the greatest invasion of privacy ever, Blum says the ceaseless, illegal spy system sucks up perhaps billions of messages daily, including those of prime ministers, the Secretary-General of the UN, the pope, embassies, Amnesty International, Christian Aid, and transnational corporations and that “if God has a phone, it’s being monitored.” Blum also said that during the countdown to its invasion of Iraq in 2003, the U.S. listened in on the conversations of UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, the UN weapons inspectors in Iraq, “and all the members of the UN Security Council…when they were deliberating about what action to take in Iraq.” Launched in the 1970s to spy on Soviet satellite communications, the NSA and its junior partners in Canada, Britain, Australia, and New Zealand operate ECHELON, which is a network of massive, highly automated interception stations covering the globe at the expense of American taxpayers. Today, Ed Miliband, leader of the Labour opposition, is blasting PM Cameron on grounds that, according to The New York Times of July 19, “the recent scandals in British life were caused by a lack of accountability among those in high places.” Across Britain, Miliband said, “there is a yearning for a more decent, responsible, principled country.” What makes the British public recoil is the sort of conduct by former TNTW reporter Clive Goodman, who pleaded guilty in Jan., 2007, to hacking the voice mails of aides to the royal family. Pardon me, but how does that crime begin to compare with ECHELON, an organ of the U.S. Government, spying on the Secretary-General of the United Nations or the Pope? By contrast, what have high U.S. officials done about the crimes committed via ECHELON? Zip, and they have no announced plans to do so. They continue to operate ECHELON unashamedly. Rupert Murdoch’s TNTW was only attempting to do in a small way what the governments of the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are doing big time every day. Outfoxed Bill O’Reilly attacks 9/11

The Fox “Terrorist” News organization needs exposed for what it is, a murderous, criminal, bully pulpit for right wing nut jobs like Bill O’Reilly, people intent on destroying America as we know it. The damage this network has done to America is incalculable when you’re talking about propagandizing a nation with rhetoric chocked full of lies, hate and fear for over 10 years. Once again, thanks to Reagan, Bush St & Jr and Republican policy’s all of this is happening because of deregulation and lack of government oversight. They all chipped away at regulating the broadcasting industry so now TV and radio stations no longer serve the community, they serve corporate interests.

My hope is that people will educate themselves on this Murdock scandal because the truth needs to be investigated,  heard and out in the open so that we can work on getting back to unbiased honesty, integrity and truth in journalism. A free press is the backbone of a nation because that’s our source of information, how can we participate in governing ourselves when we don’t have the facts? When our perception of reality is distorted because it’s based on a foundation of lies and an entire segment of the population is living in opposite world because that’s been whats presented to them? When Fox listeners are the most mis-informed segment in society that’s a serious indication there’s a problem people need to wake up to.

Randi Rhodes and Norman Goldman are two highly credible, extremely well informed people in talk radio who really understand what’s going on from very unique insider perspectives. They’re not corporate shills, they’re on the side of working people and I HIGHLY encourage everyone to spend some time listening to them to get the facts from behind the scenes. They’re not only entertaining they’re extremely informative and I’ve learned more about government, what’s going on behind the scenes and how the game is played from these two than any other source. And especially now with an election coming up it’s more important than ever to get the details and a 3-4 hour radio show is more detail than you’re going to get anywhere else in broadcast media.

One of the charges against Murdoch and Company is that they paid a private detective to hack into the voice mail of 9/11 victim family members to get access to their private communications both on the day of the attack and after.

My guess is that the very efficient Murdoch money-delivery (i.e. bribery) system is already at work trying to head off US Congressional hearings – and may well succeed.

But lest we forget…Murdoch and Company did in fact target at least on family member of 9/11 victim.

Just because Webley had a heart attack doesn’t mean that foul play wasn’t involved, that they can’t induce cardiac arrest. Scotland Yard is also implicated in alleged bribery and hacking schemes,  so it’s in their best interest to cover up these murders “Ok folks, nothing to see here, you can move on now” .  Well they can run but they can’t hide, Pandora’s Box has been opened.

(YBH) – As of this week, the U.K.’s populist, trashy newspaper News of the World, in continuous publication since 1843, is no more, folded by the Murdoch empire after reams of evidence came to light that pols and celebs alike were having their cellphones hacked in a ruthless pursuit of scoops. So far, the Murdoch spin has been that a few rogues went too far; the newspaper’s reputation was unsalvageable and so must close.  Rupert Murdoch himself flew to the UK this weekend to deal with the affair and former News of the World Editor Andy Coulson (an ex-aide to Prime Minister David Cameron) was arrested early Sunday for his alleged part in the scandal.  More arrests seem likely in the coming days.

Does News Corp’s hacking scandal end with News of the World?

Before his death this past May, BBC radio presenter and musician Big George Webley alleged that a News Corp. entity bugged dressing rooms of celebs and politicos as far back as 1990.  The allegation, if true, would show that News Corp. had a pattern of bugging/hacking over a long period of time that went far beyond a rogue editor or reporter for News of the World.

The show in question was Jameson Tonight, which was hosted by UK entertainment stalwart Derek Jameson on Murdoch’s Sky network.  Mr. Jameson, a colorful character, was raised in an East End orphanage during WWII, getting his start as a messenger boy during the height of Fleet Street power. He rose to become editor of the Daily Mirror, Daily Star, Daily Express and, interestingly, News of the World. His rough-edged accent was a boon when, in the 1970′s, the BBC started hiring more talent that spoke like the average viewer instead of the Queen. Though he had been fired as editor of News of the World in 1984, Mr. Murdoch later put him on the then-very new Sky TV, rotating between morning and late night chat shows, including Jameson Tonight.

Mr. Webley was a noted composer who arranged the theme music to the original “The Office” and wrote a host of music for British television including the theme to the long running “Have I Got News for You” on BBC One.  In the mid-nineties he became a radio presenter and over time wound up hosting a very popular over night talk show on BBC London 94.9 which he continued to host until the time of his death this past spring.  Earlier, in 1989, Mr. Webley landed the gig as music director of Jameson Tonight.  He worked on 350 episodes of the show for the network.

It is during this period that Mr. Webley alleged that Sky bugged the dressing rooms of guests in order to get candid off-air scoops, and, in a roundabout way, led to the emotionally charged phone call I received from Mr. Webley in late April.  As detailed by YBH! earlier this week, Mr. Webley was quite concerned that he would suffer retribution from Mr. Murdoch’s organization for allegedly revealing this information to the British government during the BSkyB (Sky TV’s parent company) buyout review.  Also, it was never fully detailed to me how Mr. Webley found out about the bugging during his years at Sky.  In no way did he allege that he was in danger for his life, as was stated in my earlier piece.  Mr. Webley had a heart attack in 1996 and likely suffered a fatal one this past May.  A full coroner’s report is due to be released in August detailing an official cause of death.  What is known is that the whole incident did worry Mr. Webley more than a little bit.

It has never been revealed publicly or proven that News Corp. listened in on the green room of Jameson Tonight or any other Sky or News Corp. television show.  However, in light of the News of the World scandal, the allegation bears some examination and at least opens the door for more questions.  Personally, I saw the strain the affair took on Mr. Webley (a personal friend) as the proposed buyout of BSkyB was coming to fruition and the deal came under regulatory review.  Mr. Webley was clearly concerned.  I for one would like to know the truth.

Now Two Murdoch Whistleblowers Dead

(YBH) – First it was Big George Webley who relayed a fear for his life and wound up dead.  Now it’s Sean Hoare.  Two British media whistleblowers. Two untimely deaths.

Let’s assume that neither was killed by Rupert Murdoch (toxicology reports haven’t been made available; foul play isn’t suspected by British authorities in either case), but something happened that put the fear of God into both men.  Neither was known as a lunatic before their demise, both simply told the truth to British authorities about what they knew of Mr. Murdoch’s enterprises and died afterward at a relatively young age.

Mr. Hoare’s role in the evolving scandal is obvious: he worked at News of the World and broke the scandal wide open by charging his former editor, and then Prime Minister David Cameron’s Communications Director Andy Coulson, with lying about his role in NOTW’s phone hacking.

Big George, for his part, allegedly revealed in private testimony to British authorities the fact that the Sky TV show he worked on in the early 90′s ,”Jameson Tonight”, had routinely bugged the dressing rooms of guests looking for scoops. Mr Webley’s charge was relevant because News Corp.’s initial defense was that the hacking at NOTW was the work of a rogue reporter.  Big George’s charge threw cold water on that defense by helping to establish a pattern of subterfuge over many years at Murdoch-owned enterprises.

At first, Big George’s April 29th frantic phone call to me (eight days before his death at age 53, details here) didn’t make much sense.   Now that the scandal has broken wide open a few things are much clearer:

• The hacking/bugging taking place at News Corp. businesses was far more widespread than previously known.
• Based on their dismissals from News Corp. it is shown that the hacking went far up the food chain all the way to Les Hinton, who resigned as head of Dow Jones last week.
• The police were involved, as evidenced by the resignation of two of Scotland Yard’s top cops.
• Prime Minister David Cameron’s Communication Director was a former Murdoch employee and News of the World editor.

The United Kingdom is the closest western country to a de facto police state.  Surveillance cameras are everywhere.  No Bill of Rights (in law or practice), and by living there you acknowledge that you are a subject of the British Crown.   Britain is a great place, but it is not exactly a place where freedom flourishes compared with the United States, France or Canada.

Given the above, it is very easy to envision a scenario where the police could and would build a campaign of quiet intimidation against men like Mr. Webley and Mr. Hoare.  London police were on the payroll of a Murdoch enterprise; why wouldn’t they act to protect their racket?

The Murdoch empire is fighting for its life, but let’s not forget both Sean Hoare and Big George Webley, two men that it would seem either directly or indirectly are collateral damage in the whole affair.  Someone needs to speak for them.
