TIM RIFAT ON RENSE ~ BEST EXPLANATION FOR WHAT’S GOING ON

Grab your favorite beverage and a bag of popcorn for some dark fear porn from England’s Terrible Tim, unfortunately the scenario sounds all too plausible and might very well be what we’re up against. Just remember no fear, to approach every battle with the curiosity and free abandon of a child ~ for we have already won this war against the soul harvesters, we just haven’t arrived at that time in the future yet.

Anne Hess & Dr Rauni Kilde ~ Higher Energies, Mind Control, Secret Societies & Ruling Elite Subverting Ancient technology from Middle East via War’s

Uploaded by on Oct 11, 2011

Anne Hess discusses the higher energies that are embracing us, and mankinds evolution to the higher consciousness state.
In a major exclusive, she discusses with Dr Rauni Kilde the terrible events in Oslo in the summer 2011, and the background to this and their conclusions. The corruption of the Elite, and other geopolitical issues.
Anne continues with further discussion on higher consciousness, and the Quickening. Interviewed by Miles Johnston. Recorded in Son, Norway.

For refugees in Libya, hard to stay or go. Refugees in the war-torn country face numerous obstacles, fearing racism and harassment from militia groups.

Refugees often have their passports confiscated, making citizenship verification difficult [EPA]
Tripoli, Libya – At the battered terminal of Tripoli’s tiny Mitiga Airport, over 150 young men and women jostle to be repatriated home to Nigeria on Libya’s Buraq airlines. This journey to Lagos is one of hundreds the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), that has facilitated since the start of the uprising against Gaddafi’s regime over a year ago.

IOM estimates that one million migrant workers were in Libya sending remittances home before the crisis, a heavy footprint for a Libyan population of under seven million.

Early on in the uprising, workers from Asia, the Middle East and neighbouring Tunisia and Egypt fled across Libya’s borders. But Somali and Eritrean political refugees continued to arrive in Tripoli throughout the war; braving the harrowing journey north through Sudan.

IOM’s current flights are now filled with West Africans who traversed Niger and Chad to Libya seeking a better economic future, but whose ultimate hardships have forced them to return.

At Mitiga, many Nigerians don the brand new green sports jackets and shoes given to them by IOM, with their meagre possessions stuffed into plastic suitcases and shopping bags.

‘No documents’

“The major problem is citizenship verification and temporary travel documentation,” explains Jeremy Haslam, IOM’s mission chief in Libya. “If they don’t have their documents – which I can say is (true for) over 90 per cent – the first thing we have to do, before we can even think about repatriation, is confirm where they are from.”

While a few Nigerians look relieved to return home and laugh with comrades, the majority are in despair. After a costly and arduous car trip with smugglers over the desert into Libya, they have spent most days searching for piecemeal day labour, and living in perpetual fear of being harassed, robbed and detained by the Libyan militias policing the streets. They will now return to families – often indebted to smugglers – empty-handed.

“When I got to Tripoli I worked at a car wash and got up to 50 Libyan Dinars ($40) a day,” says Dennis, a soft-spoken 24-year-old. “When the war came however, it was hell. I lost my passport and money to the militia. They arrested me for 20 days and beat me up. During the war the militias were always stopping me, so I stayed indoors.”

Migrants who were interviewed, often had their passports confiscated or lost early on, and none possessed entry visas. Libya is not a destination country for most, but a stepping-stone to Europe. While stigma towards Sub-Saharan migrants may have lessened since the war – when Muammar Gaddafi employed black mercenaries to fight against the rebels – racism is still pervasive, they say.

Many Nigerians at the airport terminal know each other. Each forked out around $1,200 for a dangerous boat ride to Europe late last year, only to be apprehended by Libyan authorities while at sea and jailed in Tripoli’s Ain Zara prison for the past three months.

One among them is Shauna, a 38-year-old mother to daughters Angel, four, and Blessed, one. She was heavily pregnant when her husband reached Italy by himself at the start of Libya’s conflict. She gave birth to Blessed in an apartment in Tripoli and then paid for a boat ride.

She was arrested with both daughters and all three spent time in prison. “I don’t have any money,” Shauna says, opening her fake leather handbag full of torn, waterlogged documents and children’s drawings. “What am I to do?”

Europe bound

The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) estimates that roughly 50,000 people attempted to cross the Mediterranean by boat in 2011 and close to 2,000 drowned. Rumours persist that Gaddafi encouraged the crossings to Europe in retribution over NATO strikes. However, the numbers are small in the context of last year’s overall migration from Libya; the largest in the region since World War II.

“It’s a very complicated picture,” says IOM’s Haslam. “Migrants may have been moved from a basement of a house where they were protected for some time, and then whoever was protecting them couldn’t handle it any longer. They pass them to the next entity, person, group, militia – and they are bouncing all over the place. They may have been working in forced labour to earn their keep.

“Maybe some opportunistic types have seen they can actually trade migrants,” says Haslam. “It gets into the whole debt-bondage deal. Migrants are being sold on now for 260 – 800 LD (208 – 642 dollars) per person. You come across enough cases to see a trend. We saw a discount on one particular day of 21,000 LD ($16,875) for 78 people – that’s a knocked-down price for West Africans, with women and children among them.”

Economic and political refugees now face another new threat. Libya’s minister for labour, Mustafa Ali Rugibani, has declared a March 4 expulsion deadline for irregular workers. Despite the lack of a transparent system to process people in place, he says, “if they are not legalised they will be deported”.

“I hope they won’t expel people who should not be expelled, such as asylum seekers and refugees, or people in need of international protection,” says Emmanuel Gignac, UNHCR’s mission head in Libya.

 Sub-Saharan migrants stranded in Tripoli

On a sodden, winter day at a Tripoli railway yard that a Chinese company was building before the war, hundreds of refugees from Somalia and to a lesser extent, Eritrea, live in ramshackle housing. The government-owned property is now “managed” by a local militia, replete with 4×4 trucks patrolling with anti-aircraft guns, and a detention cell.

This militia is entrepreneurial – charging refugees $24 each per month to stay, and assigning them laminate ID cards. They offer “protection” and paid daily labour – as well as harassment, the residents claim.

Seventeen-year-old Ayan is originally from the war-torn Ogaden region in southeast Ethiopia, but had been living in Mogadishu. It took her seven months to reach Libya, and after some boys accidentally hit her during an overcrowded car ride through the desert, she developed physical pain that won’t go away. Her friend, Fawza, 20, is also from Mogadishu. “In Somalia, there is forced marriage and no education. Every day people are dying from the war,” she says.

All the residents interviewed, say they want to go to Europe, despite the fact that 15 recently washed-up bodies from a shipwreck were Somalis from their camp.

“I am going to Italy, I have many friends there,” exclaims Theodras from Eritrea, who is able to find work three days a week loading trucks. When asked about the labour ministry’s threat of expulsion, he replies: “Who cares – we will get to where we are going.”

Meanwhile, across Tripoli in an Italian-era Catholic church, a festive crowd gathers in glittering gowns and headdresses. This is a Nigerian wedding, replete with traditional musicians, food, and a chance for dancing, gossip and laughter. On this rare morning, the tight-knit migrant community can forget their daily hardships, at least for an hour.

Legacy of Treason – Depleted Uranium and the Poisoning of Humanity

Legacy of Treason - Depleted Uranium and the Poisoning of Humanity image

treason n 1 betrayal of one’s sovereign or country.
2 any treachery or betrayal. treasonable adj treasonous adj

In recent years I have become aware of the issue of depleted uranium (DU) and its use by the US Military in Iraq in 1991 and again in the current Iraq war. The photos of birth deformities and stories of suffering resulting from DU shocked me, reminding me of the Agent Orange victims of America’s Vietnam war. Then I watched David Bradbury and Peter Scott’s film, Blowin’ in the Wind. Its content shocked and appalled me, and spurred me into researching and writing this article. It is undoubtedly one of the most significant issues on the planet today, and yet the mainstream media stays quiet.

Depleted uranium (DU) is what is left after raw uranium has been enriched to the highly radioactive isotope U-235 used for weapons and power generation. For every ton of U-235 produced, there are seven tons of DU. Estimates vary, but it seems that currently the US alone has in excess of five million tons of stockpiles of DU. This has no commercial use beyond its use as a radiation shield in medical devices, and for adding to concrete to form radiation containing bunkers. However, this requires an insignificant quantity of the DU produced each year.

The half-life of DU is 4.5 billion years, so storing it safely and indefinitely is cost prohibitive. To remedy the situation, the US Department of Energy has made it freely available to the Pentagon and US armaments and armour manufacturers, and it has been used in weapons exported to 29 countries. It is simply cheaper to make it into weapons than store it.

It is widely accepted that DU itself is fairly stable, as the dangerous alpha particles which it emits cannot pass through more than a couple of centimetres of air. The problems arise when DU is in contact with water or is used in weaponry and explodes. (Remember the footage of the Baghdad bombing, with all the big sparks flying into the air? — The sparks were DU that was on fire and exploding.) It then creates a vapourised, radioactive gas comprising of tiny nano-particles.

The microscopic particles in this vapour are then littered, depending upon prevailing winds, up to 100 kms around (estimates on this vary — with some sources citing up to 1000 kms), where they fall on crops, water, or just on the ground to be picked up by the next gust of wind or by car tyres. Later, when this gas enters the atmosphere, it can spread worldwide.

The nanoparticles of DU enter the body, from the air, from landing on clothing or skin and from food or water. These nanoparticles penetrate all protective clothing and masks (nothing can filter these particles out), and once it comes in contact with the body it immediately disperses and begins to alter DNA. As it is not soluble it cannot be excreted from the body. Uranium is a toxic chemical element, just like lead, mercury, cadmium and chromium.

According to the declassified Groves memo from the Manhattan Project in 1943, the properties of DU in weapons have been known and strategised with for 60 years. It is clear that the US has known for 60 years about the effects of DU on the battlefield, also the danger to its own soldiers.

Why is DU so useful as a weapon?

DU is very hard, the hardest and densest of metals, and so is used for armour piercing rounds, fired from tanks, ships, aircraft and snipers, and for the bunker buster bombs made famous in the 2003 attack on Baghdad. It is also in the Tomahawk Cruise missiles fired from ships. Being so hard, it is also used extensively in the armour plating of tanks and armoured cars.

DU is a pyroforic metal, meaning it burns. The bullets and large calibre shells are actually on fire when they come out of the gun barrel because they are ignited by the friction in the barrel and explode on contact — armour piercing incendiary ammunition. Most of the DU metal becomes a metal vapour, so it is really a radioactive gas weapon once the initial destruction has occurred. DU weaponry are nuclear weapons. No question.

The military use of DU violates current international law including the principle that there is no unlimited right to choose the means and methods of warfare. Instead governments, including the Australian Government in correspondence about this matter with the writer, state that because it is not a nuclear weapon it does not contravene nuclear agreements.

When speaking of the quantities of DU used in various wars it is worth understanding that the amount of uranium used in the bomb that destroyed Hiroshima was approximately 13kg, about the size of a two-litre milk container. A Japanese professor, Dr. K. Yagasaki, has calculated that in terms of the atomicity, (the amount of radiation produced), a ton of DU used on the battlefield releases the equivalent of 100 Hiroshima bombs worth of radiation released into the atmosphere.

Thus when experts refer to the 2000 tons of DU dropped on Iraq in the past three years, what is being released in the Iraqi atmosphere, and then spreading worldwide, is the equivalent of 200,000 Hiroshima bombs.

The total amount of DU the US has used since 1991 is approximately 4600 tons (1000 in the first Gulf War, 800 in Kosovo, 800 in Afghanistan and a further 2000 tons in the current Iraq war.) This amounts to approximately 460,000 Hiroshima bombs, ten times the amount of radiation released into the atmosphere from all previous nuclear testing worldwide.

Gulf War Syndrome

Over the past 18 months there has been an erupting scandal in the US in the Department of Veterans Affairs as DU is blamed by more and more respected scientists for Gulf War Syndrome (and also, Balkans War Syndrome).

Of the 580,000 US soldiers that served in Iraq in 1991, by mid 2004, 518,739 were on medical disability pensions. This figure is 150,000 higher than just one year earlier. There are no more recent statistics, but it would appear that by now the percentages of soldiers affected would be reaching 100%

According to Leuren Moret, in a group of 251 soldiers from a study group in Mississippi who had all had normal babies before the first Gulf War, 67% of their post-war babies were born with severe birth defects. They were born with missing legs, arms, organs or eyes or had immune system and blood diseases. In some veterans’ families now, the only normal or healthy members of the family are the children born before the war. This is the only group of soldiers who served in Iraq whose health has been studied over some years.

‘The use of depleted uranium weapons is a crime against humanity, a crime against all species, and a war against the earth,’ says Moret. ‘It is imperative that we demand a permanent international moratorium on the sale and the use of depleted uranium weaponry.’

DU: Coming to a country near you

A 20-year agreement was signed om 2005 between the United States and Australia, the specific terms of which are secret, but which allows the US military to train and test its latest weapons in Australia. This involves bombing ranges in the pristine Shoalwater Bay near Rockhampton in Queensland and at Lancelin, the lobster fishing village 150kms north of Perth where there would be ship-to-shore bombing from nuclear powered and capable US navy ships.

Also in the Northern Territory a ‘test’ bombing range has been designated where B52s and Stealth bombers will, as of January 06, and as you read this, be dumping their payloads on their flights from Guam. The US Navy uses DU in its shelling, and the B52s will be most likely (presumably they will be testing the weapons they actually use) carrying bunker buster bombs with their 2.2 tons of DU each. Retrospective legislation was passed to remove the need for any Environmental Impact Study (EIS) before or after the duration of this agreement.

When asked in the Australian Senate about whether or not the US would be using DU in its bombing of Australian sites, Defence Minister Senator Hill said, ‘In relation to Depleted Uranium used by our allies we have said that, if they believe it is the most appropriate element to use in their particular munitions in certain circumstances, we do not think it is appropriate for us to press a different view upon them.’ Senator Hill has since retired from Australian politics and has taken up residence as the Australian UN Ambassador in New York.

(The author has since been in contact with the Australian Department of Defence who vehemently refute that DU weaponry is being used within Australian waters on the basis of a 1960s law preventing the use of nuclear weapons in Australian waters or on Australian land. However, given that DU weapons are not officially classified as nuclear weapons they would not come under this law.
Given, however, the propensity of the Australian Government to avoid asking any uncomfortable questions of our US allies, and to adhere quite strongly to the doctrine of plausible deniability (‘I did not know’ seems to work as an excuse for Government’s systemic willful ignorance) it is more likely that the Australian Department of Defence does not in fact know what the US is using in its bombs, and does not want to know.)

Insert: The death economy

More and more it appears that the things which are most important are simply those that generate the biggest growth in profits, in the GDP. Sickness generates business, cancer rates generate research dollars, war accelerates growth, and we wonder why peace is so elusive when we worship the economy. The following is equally applicable to Australia now as it was to the US in the 1960s.
Too much and for too long we seem to have surrendered personal excellence and community values in the mere accumulation of material things. Our gross national product now is over $800 billion a year.

But that gross national product, if we judge the United States of America by that, counts air pollution, and cigarette advertising, and ambulances to clear our highways of carnage. It counts special locks for our doors, and the jails for people who break them. It counts the destruction of redwoods and the loss of our natural wonder in chaotic sprawl. It counts napalm and it counts nuclear warheads, and armoured cars for the police to fight the riots in our cities. It counts Whitman’s rifle and Speck’s knife, and the television program which glorify violence in order to sell toys to our children.
Yet the gross national product does not allow for the health of our children, the quality of their education, or the joy of their play. It does not include the beauty of our poetry or the strength of our marriages, the intelligence of our public debate or the integrity of our public officials. It measures neither our wit nor our courage, neither our wisdom nor our learning, neither our passion nor our devotion to our country.
It measures everything, in short, except that which makes life worthwhile. And it can tell us everything about America — except why we are proud that we are Americans.

— Robert Kennedy, 18/3/1968

Ultimately we do not know how much DU is being used in Shoalwater Bay, or Lancelin or dumped daily in the Northern Territory.

We do know that Japan, the Philippines and Puerto Rica no longer allow the US to bomb their lands with DU, and that there is no ship-to-shore bombing allowed anymore on the US mainland.

We know that there are hundreds of very vocal groups in opposition worldwide to the use of DU, who have devoted their lives to this issue.

We also know that the US government does not particularly care about the safety of their troops or anyone else’s, and is seemingly content to poison the world for eternity, and poison themselves in the process. We know that weapons usage is classified and that such information will never be freely supplied to the Australian people, while nuclear powered and armed ships are cruising the waters of the Great Barrier Reef. In January, the largest nuclear powered and capable aircraft carrier in the world, boasting 6000 marines on board, docked in Brisbane.

If the contamination of Shoalwater Bay and Lancelin is anything like Iraq, Kosovo, or Afghanistan, then the vicinity of these places should be avoided. But it would be a mistake to think that the troubles are confined to those areas. The beef and pineapples from Rockhampton, and the seafood from Lancelin, could be contaminated and end up on your bbq. After this article was first published a reader contacted the West Australian Government who assured them that the Federal Government had told them, in writing, that DU was not being used in WA.

The Federal Government may in fact believe what it is saying, but given the photo that appeared on the US Navy’s own website, of DU shells being loaded into a ship’s gun in Shoalwater Bay (scroll to near bottom of page), it beggars belief that they would not be using DU in WA. After all, according to the Defence Department, DU is perfectly safe. They test weapons that they use, and they certainly use DU weapons.

According to Leuren Moret, it is simply no longer possible to go to Afghanistan or the Middle East without being contaminated. How long before that is also true of Australia?

There are questions that need to be asked by everyone related to the integrity of our political leadership.

Does our government have our best interests in mind

  • When they sign up for bombardments on Australian soil and in Australian waters by DU tipped weaponry?
  • When they refuse to stipulate that no nuclear weapons are to be used on our shores, and will they guarantee that our children will not grow up breathing in DU nanoparticles?
• when they sign up for Son of Star Wars , which will cost in excess of $50 billion? (To protect us from what? Who?)
  • When they decide to sequester large tracts of land in the Northern Territory for eternity for a nuclear dump, so the US and UK can dump their ‘spent’ nuclear fuel and we can export more uranium?
  • When they sign up for a de facto [unshielded] nuclear dump under the guise of a joint bombing facility in the Northern Territory?

Who is running the agenda that says that all of a sudden it is OK to talk about new nuclear power stations as if nuclear power is an answer to global warming? David Goodstein, professor of physics at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) said on ABC’s Lateline in October 2004 that if nuclear power were to provide all of the energy that fossil fuel currently provides there would be enough uranium for just 10 years!

Westinghouse and GE build most of the nuclear power stations in the world, and also happen to own significant stakes in most major media companies in the US, which is largely why no real discussion will arise from the US on this issue. Nuclear power becomes unviable if the cost of disposing of the DU is factored in, which is why it is given to the Pentagon. Now Australia wants to expand the number and size of its uranium mines to sell to India and China (Who knows how they will dispose of their DU!).

Now Australia, thanks to John Howard, is talking seriously about building nuclear power stations when our largest single electricity supplier, the Snowy Mountains company, is running at 13% capacity! (SMH, 24/5/06) (see an article by the same author, debunking much of the mythology surrounding nuclear power, such as it supposed green and economic credentials. A must read if you want to understand and be a part of the nuclear power debate.)

Together we need to do something. Research the internet, find out for yourself what the DU debate is about. Do the research before you speak to anyone so you know what you are talking about, as you will find that most people will not want to believe that this is happening. The list of websites supplied at the end of this article is by no means definitive, but is a good place to start.

Get in touch with any of the many groups that have mobilised over this issue all over the world. Start your own group. Do not let the size of the opposition and the scale of the ignorance and unwillingness to know the truth that you will be confronted with, convince you that you are helpless and cannot do anything about DU. This is what they depend on .

  • Contact your local politician, and do not accept anything that smells like a brush-off. This may well be the most important thing you ever do.
  • Buy a copy and arrange a showing of the film Blowin’ in the Wind at your local cinema, and get your local community radio station to broadcast talks, interviews and lectures like those available on alternativeradio.org or traprockpeace.org and many other websites.
  • If you live or holiday near the affected areas, make lots of noise with the local councillors and media. Be disobedient. Be seditious. Get the use of DU weaponry stopped. It is nuclear weaponry.
  • Find out who provides the Public Liability insurance for the army, and does that insurer know the risks associated with DU? Perhaps the way to stop this is through the public liability requirements that the Australian population is tied up with. Any insurance lawyers out there?

This is our home that is being poisoned. It is our country. Demand that it is respected and protected for our children and their children. History will not forgive us if we stand by idly.

Iran Is Not Our Enemy

Despite what all the media are yammering at you, despite all the fear mongering about Iran’s “nuclear threat” (Iran has been fully verified by the IAEA and ALL the U.S. intelligence community agree and are on record that Iran is not pursuing nuclear weapons), despite talk that Iran is intolerant, despite the daily barrage of bad press and unpleasant innuendo, Iran is a great country, friendly, cultured, fun and spiritually-minded!

The “Powers That Were” are dead set on taking us to war against Iran, but “They lied about Vietnam… Iraq…Afghanistan…” and “Iran Is NOT Our Enemy ! ” :-)

This Former CIA Asset Turned Whistle Blower Blows The Lid Off The 9/11 Lies

Uploaded by on Aug 23, 2011

Susan Lindauer was a CIA/DIA asset and worked as a liason between the CIA and Iraq during the 1990′s up until after 9/11/2001. She talks about the Bush
administration wanting to go to war with Iraq right after they took office. Then
she talks about prior knowledge of plans of terrorists flying planes into the
World Trade Center. She contacted Senators John McCain and Trent Lott with her knowledge of the attacks and prior knowledge. Within 30 days of doing that she was arrested by the FBI and charged with many felonies under the Patriot Act. She served one year in prison and the government tried very hard to force medicate her but some doctors kept saying she was completely sane/fine. She was released after a year in prison and under indictment for 5 years. She tried to present her story to major news outlets and none of them would touch it. Most of the information she discusses has been confirmed by several other sources including the World Trade Center being rigged with thermate explosives.

Susan Lindauer discusses the controlled demolition of the World Trade Center, the hijackers, lies leading up to the Iraq war etc. VERY EXPLOSIVE FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE! +

China Warns US – Troops Positioned in Mexico and Canada?

This story is dated, but it directly relates to events rolling out in Pakistan with the U.S. military. In addition, if Benjamin Fulford and David Wilcock are exposing the truth behind the stolen gold then America has a reason to be concerned if these story’s are true.

I heard of the Chinese AND International troop presence some time ago,  but have never been able to confirm it although this trucker’s story is new information for me.  American’s should be concerned about retaliation for economic crimes against global superpowers, for stealing the worlds wealth. I’ve never understood peoples arrogance to think that the perpetrators of global financial meltdown wouldn’t get punished because they were from the USA.

That’s pretty much an act of war…

“Outrageous and indefensible” was Britain’s massacre in Libya

30.11.2011

David Cameron, the British Prime Minister, has stated that the attack on the British Embassy in Teheran was “outrageous” while the Foreign Secretary William Hague has called it “irresponsible”. So how shall we label the British massacres in Libya as terrorists were backed to overthrow the government of a sovereign state?

Interesting it is that the Iranian government at least had the decency to apologise after a few hundred enraged students stormed the British Embassy after London upped the stakes in what is turning into an unnecessarily tense situation, making it quite clear that London under Cameron and Hague is very much a player in the Grand Plan (hegemony over the world’s energy resources using NATO to implement the whims and caprices of the lobbies which control Washington’s foreign policy and that of her allies).

Interesting it is, or rather, how despicable, that the British government was incapable of offering an apology when the three grandchildren of Colonel Gaddafi were murdered in their home by one of those cowards flying NATO warplanes. And now we are speaking about Libya and murder and so on, was it not a tad “outrageous” to breach the UN Charter, the UNSC Resolutions and the Geneva Convention in taking sides in an internal conflict, aiding terrorists to murder, rape, pillage, torch buildings, torture, commit acts of sadism and sodomy?

Was it then “acceptable” to commit war crimes by bombing civilians so that a bunch of terrorists could seize control of the country? Was it “acceptable” to strafe the country’s water supply? Was it “acceptable” to bomb the factory making the tubes to repair the system? Was it “acceptable” to target Libya’s civilian telecommunications network? Was it “acceptable” to take out the energy supply, so that babies would die in incubators, so that old folk would not be able to have access to electricity, to “break their backs”? Was that acceptable?

And how acceptable was it to lie (again) and base a military campaign on the false flag event which was the “attack on civilians”, perpetrated by the terrorists themselves, and anyway how many civilians were murdered by the friends of London and Washington in Bahrain and Yemen and nobody raises an eyebrow? How acceptable was it to implement a military campaign outside the auspices of the UNO’s Military Staff Committee? How acceptable was it to interfere in the internal affairs of a sovereign state? (1)

How acceptable was it to bombard undefended structures? (2) How acceptable was it to support a group of terrorists listed on the FCO’s own site as a proscribed group? (3) How acceptable was it to launch a war without attempting to negotiate or to allow a process of negotiation to take place, and then to refuse to accept any form of democratic electoral process? (4) How acceptable was it to arm and employ mercenaries in an illegal theatre of war? (5) How acceptable was it to bomb civilians in Sirte, to besiege the city and to purposefully starve the population? (6) How acceptable is it to have taken part in massive attacks against civilians and to have used terrorist forces to do so? (7)

Was the attack on March 21 in Gharyan in which dozens of civilians were murdered not “outrageous”? Was the bombing attack against the Libyan Arab Association for Human Rights in Tripoli of April 7 not “outrageous”? Outrageous was the murderous attack against the people of Misratah, on April 27, in which 12 civilians were killed and 5 wounded, outrageous was the attack on April 30 when a NATO coward strafed the Libyan Down’s Syndrome Centre in Tripoli, outrageous was the murder of Saif al-Arab al-Qathafi on the same day together with three of Muammar al-Qathafi’s grandchildren.

Irresponsible was the failure to save 600 civilians whose SOS messages were ignored by NATO on May 9, irresponsible was the murder of the eleven Imams on May 13; unacceptable was the attack on Libya’s Anti-Corruption Agency on May 17, destroying evidence against many NTC officials; a criminal act of murder was the bombing of Tripoli University on June 12, a criminal act of murder was a NATO terrorist strike against a bus full of civilians on June 15 in Kikla, a criminal act of murder was the NATO terrorist strike murdering nine civilians in Tripoli on June 19.

The murder of the al-Hamedi family of 15 civilians including 3 children on June 19 was a terrorist attack and a war crime, the murder of 16 civilians in the market in Tawerga on June 28 was a war crime, the Zwara checkpoint bombing on July 4 was a terrorist attack by NATO, the murder of 12 civilians on July 15 in Kikla was a war crime, the carpet bombing of Tajura and Seraj on July 17 was a terrorist attack…I could go on and on and on and on and on.

And Cameron and Hague, these sickening little failures who have led their own country to economic and financial ruin, have the audacity to speak out about an incident in Teheran caused by the Fascist and murderous policies of their country in recent years – the last six Prime Ministers have been involved in nine wars – and they kept their mouths closed about their own country’s war criminal terrorist acts of murder in Libya?

It figures…

The State of the World: Three Lines of Force and a Wild Card

I will assume that if you are taking a few minutes to read this article you are, like me, more or less a news addict. Every day you wake up and while fixing breakfast you turn on the radio and a laptop to check what is up with this world. As you eat you protest at the comments that come through the airwaves and correct every attempt at subtle propaganda, although sometimes you just have to laugh. Meanwhile you compare the radio broadcast with what is coming through the net in alternative news websites such as Sott.net. You also check out Facebook or some other social media site where you have a number of friends who are also into hunting interesting news items, so you want to see what they have spotted in the last twelve hours.

A week ago I had a surreal moment while reading headlines on Facebook. It was the clear impression that the world had indeed gone mad – and not in a harmless or amusing mad way, but in a cruel and soul-less way. Among the things that caught my eye:

10-Year-Old Survives Life Threatening Complications To Give Birth To Son Prematurely Likely a victim of rape.

House GOP Classifies Pizza As A Vegetable To ‘Prevent Overly Burdensome’ School Lunch Regulations. They grow on trees, you would think.

How the Telecom Industry Seeks to Confuse About the Dangers of Cell Phones. “From the way it was set up originally, this deeply flawed study was designed to fail to find an increased risk of brain tumors tied with cellphone use.”

TSA Puts Off Safety Study of X-ray Body Scanners. At least they are backtracking in Europe. But what harms Europeans is OK for Americans?

Seattle Police pepper-spray 84-year-old woman and pregnant teen. Because they can.

It is these sort of shocking items that make us feel that urge to understand how and why. What is the point of it all? What is the bigger picture? Horror moves us to seek knowledge, which is why I have been thinking lately about the main lines of force in the current state of global affairs. The way I see it, the major interrelated threads are the economic crisis, revolutions, imperialism and climate change. The first three are like standing lines of dominoes about to collapse. The last one can ‘rain’ down on us at any point – in fact it already has, but how strongly will it be when it does again?

It’s tempting to make predictions once you more or less have a handle on things in your mind. That is what so-called futurologists do. They detect trends, extend them twenty or thirty years into the future and come up with a picture of what the world may look like. Sometimes they get it right, but most often they don’t, as they will themselves admit. The main reason is that history does not move in straight lines. Often ‘mega-trends’ are disrupted by unforeseen events which come from either a previously overlooked trend or just from completely out of the blue.

Here I am not interested in what will happen decades into the future, but in our more immediate future. Even if the time-frame is shorter, the task is no less difficult, as the collapsing lines of dominoes are intertwined and not exempt from possible surprises.

Economic Crisis

Do you remember reading a year and a half ago in an installment of the Connecting the Dots series how the global economic crisis entered a new phase with Greece and the “PIIGS” making the headlines? The fact that it was planned in Wall Street left a great impression on me then.

It doesn’t get much more explicit than this folks. As reported by the Wall Street Journal, a very special and very private “idea dinner” was held on February 8 in Manhattan. Invited were a list of Wall Street hedge-fund representatives from SAC Capital Advisors, Soros Fund Management, Greenlight Capital and Brigade Capital. At the dinner, the speculators are said to have ‘predicted’ that the euro is likely to plunge in value to parity with the dollar. The euro has been under pressure because of Greece’s debt crisis, in addition to similar fiscal worries about Portugal, Italy, Spain and Ireland (“PIIGS”, in financial parlance – ingenious, no?) But the euro has also been sapped of its strength because certain hedge funds have been placing huge bets on the currency’s decline, which could make the speculators hundreds of millions in profit. In other words, the expectation of the euro’s decline is a prophecy that the financial mafia is happy to fulfill itself. Goldman Sachs, Bank of America-Merrill Lynch and Barclays Bank of London were also playing “let’s sink the euro,” cashing in on the trend by betting on the currency’s fall. And this was worked out over dinner. That’s all it takes for a handful of psychopaths to cause untold misery for millions upon millions of people.
