Cycles Within Cycles, The Grand Culmination

Humanity and the Earth are facing some very rough times ahead and to sum it up, the problems going on that culminate in 2012 are very complex. First we have multiple objects, or planetary bodies cruising through and in the vicinity of the solar system. One of which happens to be our suns twin, a dwarf star that comes back around every 3600 years bringing with it several planets, moons and lots of debris that hurdles towards Earth. Then there are a couple of large planets hanging out there generating a magnetic pull on Earth heating up volcano’s and earthquakes as magma shifts around under the tectonic plates.    In addition, scientists are very concerned about a highly magnetic ribbon the solar system’s moving into AND is also approaching the galactic equator (grand cycle) which is theorized to have a massive wave of energy that will hit the earth and cause it to shake like a bell, violently for up to 2-3 days.

Now, TPB are intentionally mixing all of this together to remove credibility and obfuscate the Issue(s).

It is after all the Culmination of ;

– An Earth Cycle (Gaia moving up in Frequency and down in Magnetics).
– A Solar Cycle (The Sun moving into one of It’s most energetic Sunspot Cycles in 2012).
– A Galactic Cycle (Where We as a Solar System come into alignment @ Zero Degrees to the Dark Rift – Ophuicus – The Central Energetic Disk of the Milky Way).
– A Great Cycle (Our Solar System’s Circuit of the Milky Way)

– A Grand Cycle (Galactic Wave Pulse thats headed for Us moving through the whole Disk of the Milky Way – Originating @ Sag. A).

You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour.
Now you must go back and tell the people that this is The Hour.
There are things to be considered:
Where are you living?
What are you doing?
What are your relationships?
Are you in right relation?
Where is your water?
Know your garden.
It is time to speak your Truth.
Create your community.
Be good to each other.
And do not look outside yourself for the leader.
This could be a good time!
There is a river flowing now very fast.
It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid.
They will try to hold on to the shore.
They will feel they are being torn apart, and they will suffer greatly.
Know the river has its destination.
The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water.
See who is in there with you and celebrate.
At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally. Least of all, ourselves.
For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.
The time of the lone wolf is over.
Gather yourselves!
Banish the word struggle from your attitude and vocabulary.
All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.
We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.
– The Hopi Elders

In the microcosmic universe of the body of man, the Aum vibrations works trough the vital activities in the astral spinal centers of life with their creative vibratory elements (tattvas) of earth, water, fire, air, and ether. Through these, man’s body is created, enlivened, and sustained. These vibrations emit characteristic vibrations of Pranava as they operate. The devotee whose consciousness becomes attuned to these inner astral sounds finds himself gradually ascending to higher states of realization. – Paramahansa Yogananda

Those animated by the Goddess, in her many forms, are concerned with all world problems: economy; justice; racial, sexual and species equality; education; ecological balance and many other concerns. To acknowledge the Goddess is to open up immediately to issues which threaten our total existence. For we cannot deny our common heritage of life which the Goddess safeguards. – ‘Sophia: Goddess of Wisdom/Bride of God’

All that is occurring on the present world stage is in necessary fulfillment of a greater script in which the old must be cleared away in order for the new to manifest in supreme purity. From this point of view the cycle of history is in the nature of a bad fever that has to be worked out, full of nightmares and visions, but once the fever has passed, a new purified soul emerges. Such a perspective fulfills many prophecies of the coming of the Golden Age, a New Heaven and a New Earth. New Jerusalem or Shambhala, the mending of the Hoop of Nations, the flowering of the World Tree after a long winter of the soul. – Jose Arguelles

The only work that will ultimately bring any good to any of us is the work of contributing to the healing of the world.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Terrorism is hatred turned into a political force. The only power strong enough to counter it will be love turned into a political force.

If you want to find the secrets of the Universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration. – Tesla

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as if everything is.

Condemnation without investigation is the height of ignorance.

Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.

Our separation from each other is an optical illusion of consciousness.

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science.

Imagination is more important than knowledge, for knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world and all there ever will be to know and understand.

Problems can never be solved by the level of awareness that created them.

The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion that stands at the cradle of true art and true science.

Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the Universe – a spirit vastly superior to that of man.

– Albert Einstein

You must be the change you wish to see in the world.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they attack you, then you win.

Democracy must in essence, therefore, mean the art and science of mobilizing the entire physical, economic and spiritual resources of all the various sections of the people in the service of the common good of all.
– Mahatma Gandhi

This is love: to fly toward a secret sky, to cause a hundred veils to fall each moment.

The power of Love came into me
And I became fierce like a lion,
then tender like the evening star.

You are not just a drop in the ocean. You are the mighty ocean in the drop.

Let the beauty of what you love,
be what you do.
– Rumi

We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world. – Buddha

With persistent practice, consciousness may eventually be perceived or felt as an entity of mere luminosity and knowing, to which anything is capable of appearing and which, when appropriate conditions arise, can be generated in the image of whatsoever object. As long as the mind does not encounter the external circumstance of conceptuality (i.e. beliefs!), it will abide empty without anything appearing in it, like clear water. Its very entity is that of mere experience. Let the mind flow of its own accord without conceptual overlay. Let the mind rest in its natural state, and observe it. In the beginning, when you are not used to this practice, it is quite difficult, but in time the mind appears like clear water. – The Dalai Lama

It is possible that the next Buddha will not take the form of an individual. The next Buddha may take the form of a community – a community practicing understanding and loving kindness, a community practicing mindful living. This may be the most important thing we can do for the survival of the earth. – Thich Nhat Hanh

This is the era of dreaming the world awake.
So let’s wake up together, and dream.

If you want to go far, go together
– African proverb

You are the vibrational writers of the script of your life, and everyone else in the Universe is playing the part that you have assigned to them. – Abraham-Hicks

The moment you come to trust chaos, you see God clearly. Chaos is divine order, versus human order. Change is divine order, versus human order. When the chaos becomes safety to you, then you know you’re seeing God clearly. – Caroline Myss

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.

In the course of history, there comes a time when humanity is called to shift to a new level of consciousness, to reach a higher moral ground. A time when we have to shed our fear and give hope to each other. That time is now. – Wangari Maathai

Are they resisting the truth because they know that the moment they acknowledge it, they will face a moral imperative to act? Is it simply more convenient to ignore the warnings? – Al Gore

This is the largest movement in the history of humanity, a vast coalescence comprising hundreds of thousands of organizations with no center, codified beliefs, or charismatic leader. Rather than seeking dominance, it strives to disperse concentrations of power. Knowing its own weakness, it creates innovative tactics to leverage itself. It claims no special powers and arises in small ways, like grass and rain. Rather than control, it seeks connection. Groundhog Day Storm May Affect More than 100 Million People

By Alex Sosnowski, Expert Senior Meteorologist

Jan 29, 2011

A large winter storm forecast to unfold could adversely affect more than 100 million people next week from the Rockies to the Plains, South, Midwest and Northeast, if it develops to its full potential.
The latest indications continue to point toward a large storm forming amidst a building temperature contrast over the middle of the nation. Precipitation and strong cold air/warm air circulation around that storm will affect many millions of people from the interior West to the Atlantic Coast as next week progresses.
We are calling this system the Groundhog Day storm, and it will likely severely impact ground travel, and lead to canceled flights, school delays and closures. The storm is not only a concern for Wednesday, but for much of the week as the system moves along.

Volcano Update

With so many volcano’s showing activity and on eruption status,  thought I’d go ahead and load them all up in one update so you can have an idea of the bigger picture. Not in my lifetime have so many volcano’s been active, we are definitely seeing the result of something that’s having an influence on Earth – much bigger than global warming, this is caused by the passage of several large planetary sized objects in or around our solar system that are having gravitational effects on the earth.  In addition, magnetics are shifting as the poles begin accelerating pace towards a pole shift, all of this is causing magma to move around as the tectonic plates shift.

If you haven’t d0ne so already, I highly advise researching the many events happening in outer space that are having a dramatic affect on Earth and it’s inhabitants.

15 quakes rattle Mount Saint Helens

KIRO Radio

A recent swarm of earthquakes has geologists keeping a close eye on Mount Saint Helens.

The USGS says 15 small quakes, mostly in the magnitude 1 range, shook the mountain over the weekend. A spokesman at the seismology lab at the University Washington, Bill Steele, says the quakes were caused by faults and not volcanic activity.

The most powerful quake measured just 2.2 on the Richter Scale. They were about two miles deep just northwest of the volcano.

>>Check for shaking on the Northwest earthquake tracker

Steele says there were no reports the quakes were felt and the swarm dropped off Sunday.

While it wasn’t alarming, Steele says an earthquake swarm near the volcano is closely watched.

Hundreds evacuate as Japan volcano erupts
(AFP) – 12 hours ago

TOKYO — Hundreds of people living near a Japanese volcano that has been spewing columns of smoke and ash thousands of metres into the air were forced to evacuate their homes Monday, a local official said.
More than 600 residents of the town of Takaharu in Miyazaki prefecture, on the eastern outskirts of the erupting Mount Shinmoedake, were sheltering in school gyms and community halls, an official said.
Municipal authorities had issued an evacuation advisory for 1,158 residents in high-risk districts near the 1,421-metre (4,689-foot) volcano earlier Monday.
The mountain in the Kirishima range in southwestern Japan has been belching smoke and ash into the air since late Wednesday, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
The agency has widened the area that it fears could be hit by a torrent of high-temperature gas and ash from two kilometres (1.24 miles) to three kilometres from the peak.
It added that the dome of lava inside the volcano’s crater, which grows as pressure increases from below, was now five times larger than it had been on Friday.
The volcano’s first major eruption for 52 years has seen train services and flights suspended in the area. Television footage showed the volcano billowing grey smoke into the sky, as residents cleared ash from streets with shovels.
A nearby observatory has raised its five-scale warning level on the volcano from two to three, restricting access to the entire mountain.
In April last year the eruption of the Eyjafjoell volcano in Iceland dispersed a vast cloud of ash which triggered a massive airspace shutdown that affected more than 100,000 flights and eight million passengers.

Indonesia volcano erupts, grounds flights

January 27, 2011

A fiery volcano is causing holiday misery for hundreds of Australians with airlines cancelling flights as a large ash cloud floats in the skies above Indonesia.

In echoes of last year’s Icelandic volcano chaos, the eruption of 2329-metre-high Tengger Caldera, in east Java, led to the cancellation of about a dozen flights and left passengers stranded on Thursday night.

Virgin Blue and Jetstar both cancelled flights to and from Denpasar, the main airport serving the popular holiday island of Bali.

Jetstar cancelled five flights and diverted another which was already in the air.

The budget airline, a subsidiary of the national carrier Qantas, said it would continue to monitor the situation and advise of any additional cancellations.

Virgin Blue, at 8pm (AEDT) on Thursday, said all its flights to and from Bali were cancelled for the next 24 hours.

A spokeswoman said three or four flights were grounded on Thursday night and another two cancelled on Friday morning.

Huge Fireball Spotted Over Southeast US

Jan 11, 2011 11:05 PM by Rob Perillo

At roughly 8:50pm local time an apparent meteor was spotted by observers in Acadiana including KATC’s Hoyt Harris. Hoyt and Acadiana were not alone in the observation with twitter reports (#flashoflight) from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida of a bright object in the sky at the same time.

A sonic boom was heard as far north as Western North Carolina where cloudy skies prohibited the viewing of the fireball. None of the reports in Acadiana mentioned a sonic boom.

The possible meteor was described as a large green ball (copper composition) with a trailing orange and yellow tail.

While there were no major meteor showers in progress there could still be a random object striking the Earth’s atmosphere. Meteors as small as the size of a pea striking the Earth can put on quite a show, but many believe that this object was a lot larger.

As of press time there was no credible indication if the meteor reached the ground or just burned up in the Earth’s atmosphere.

Apparently NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory Near Earth Object did indicate a relatively “close” flyby of an asteroid this evening passing roughly 850,000 miles (more than 3 times the distance to the moon) from the Earth. This particular asteroid was estimated to be 25-60 feet in diameter, but it remains unclear if the possible meteor was debris associated with this asteroid or not.

There will likely be additional reports and more clarifying information Wednesday.…-southeast-us/

Ancient Bosnian Pyramids Could Be the Key to Everything

Giant structure is more than four times taller than the Great Pyramid of Giza.
The great pyramid of Giza at just over 480 Feet tall was long thought to be the world’s tallest structure for 3,800 years but it has nothing on this pyramid recently discovered in Bosnia.

Buried just a few feet under the dirt, which was thought all these years to be a 2,300 foot mountain, is a giant pyramid.

Confirmed: Indonesian Island 20 foot elevation drop, Media Blackout prevails!

Somethings very wrong when island villages and entire coastlines begin sinking and it goes totally unreported in the news. This is incredible, I took a look the truearth map myself and these pics haven’t been photo-shopped they’re right on the mark. This Comcast takeover will only make matters worse, the firing of Keith Olberman was just another shot across the bow as a warning to journalists across the country that ratings don’t matter – they better tow the line, basically if you speak the truth by reporting whats really going on you will lose your job. There are massive changes unfolding around the globe and the news media is silent

The USGs is covering up the increasing frequency and magnitude of earthquakes, just one example they recently deleted a 6.5 quake 160 miles north of Hilo, HI and that was shortly after a European agency’s public accusation the USGS was manipulating data. Now the news media is blacking out natural disasters of biblical proportions. For more on that go to the Earth changes category on my blog where I’m compiling events happening around the world, including the mass animal kills taking place on an unprecedented scale globally.

There are more photo’s and information on this important story at the link below.

With love to all, Annette

Confirmed: Indonesian Island 20 foot elevation drop!
Via Google Satellite maps, which periodically refresh their images over a region. They did Java recently, apparently, as it shows the flooding reported as recently as January 18, 2011 where 11,600 houses were suddenly inundated by what the press called a ‘tsunami’. Comparing these actual images, where the flood waters over the land can be seen, to the projection for a 20 foot elevation loss shows that this amount of sinking has occurred! We will likely not see fresh images from Indonesia in the future, as I think this was a programmed refresh, and the program will not be changed. My guess.

George Kavassilas – Ascension and Beyond

The journey began for George as far back as his memories of this current life allow, to around the age of five. He has memories of being taken from his bed at night onto ships, and being taken to other places on the planet and to other worlds. His interactions with other beings on many different levels of realities have been occurring throughout his life. These experiences were both with benevolent beings of which George calls his “Greater Family”, and malevolent others who have the ability to appear in many guises. In 2003 George had an experience that changed everything. His galactic family visited and picked him up and took him to a large ship situated closer to the Sirius Star System. Even though George was being exploited from a very young age by malevolent beings, he was targeted by a group calling themselves the galactic federation of light. From Australia, he talks about his experiences in this interview. George shares the messages he received. We discuss the ascension process, transformation of earth, the human experience and how we are in the middle of a transitional period, witnessing the rise of a new human. Topics Discussed: experiences, galactic family, Sirius, true family, galactic levels, the human experience, light, fractal, 4th dimension, the Orion wars, transition to life on Earth, reality, different races, forgotten knowledge, malevolent forces, polarity based construct, nature, balance, equinox, earth axis, artificial moon, closing of portals, official disclosure, LHC, changing reality, prediction for the 21st of March 2013 and more.

‘I don’t want to die’ in South Africa floods

28 January 2011

By Pumza Fihlani
BBC News, Johannesburg

Residents in shanty towns have been the worst affected by the South Africa floods

South Africa’s flood toll rises
S Africa declares flood disaster
Anger, not hope in South African township
A thick stench fills the air, there is no proper sewage system in the South African township of Themba Khoza – heavy floods have destroyed all the make-shift drains and bacteria infected water is flowing through the tiny pathways between the shacks.

Residents of the informal settlement north of Johannesburg are bracing themselves for more floods.

The settlement is home to more than 2,000 people – many of the houses here are built near a river, the Kaalfontein.

The river burst its banks last week, flooding many shacks in the process.

Tharafosa Molapo, 92, is hard at work, trying to build a sand barrier around his home.

Tharafosa Molapo is worried that his shack might not survive another flood
The old man is frail but he says he needs to do this to prevent further damage to the home he shares with his wife.

“We cannot sleep when it is rains, because we need to remove the water from our houses,” he says.

“I have been up from 0100 this morning, scooping out water from inside the house,” he adds, while holding a rusty shovel in his mud covered hands.

He has been living here for four years and describes this year’s rain as the worst he has ever seen.

Eight of the country’s nine provinces have been declared disaster areas after floods killed more than 120 people.

No-one has died in Themba Khoza but Mr Molapo is worried what more rains will do to their rusty shack – it has been battered by many storms.

His neighbours are no better off. Mattresses, blankets, sheets and clothes have been taken outside to dry.

Doors stand ajar to allow the air to dry the wooden planks which hold up the shacks, residents explain.

Close to 50 families have been evacuated and taken to nearby police stations for temporary shelter.

For the rest of the community, it is a game of wait and see.

It’s been a very painful experience for me. We had to throw away a lot of things because they were just covered in mud.”

Siyabonga Mfeba
Local officials have been at pains to convince people living near rivers to relocate due to the flood risk – a battle they seem unlikely to win despite the nationwide downpours.

Like many informal settlements in South Africa, Themba Khoza has little or no running water, so for the thousands of residents a river offers a regular source of water.

But the community here is worried about the threat posed by the pools of the stagnant water around.

Green flies hovering in the air serve as a reminder of the filth.

“It’s very worrying because we know that we could get all kinds of diseases from the dirty water that passes through here, it has happened before and we are worried that if the flooding continues we will definitely get sick,” says Siyabonga Mfeba, who has lived here for four years.

Mr Mfeba’s shack is less than 100 metres from the river bank. The floor of his shack is made from mud – when the rain came in the floor was eroded.

“Everything has just been destroyed,” he says.

Mr Mfeba – who is unemployed – says the floods have destroyed many of the few possessions he had managed to amass.

“It’s been a very painful experience for me. We had to throw away a lot of things because they were just covered in mud. I know I’ll never be able to replace all of the things that were destroyed,” he says.

Aid for victims

More than 120 people have died in floods in recent weeks
More than 8,000 people have displaced since December
The flood damage has been estimated at 1,5 billion rand ($21 million; £13 million)
Eight of the country’s nine provinces have been declared disaster areas
A few minutes away from the flooded shacks, long queues snake into the entrance of a blue and white tent – a makeshift soup kitchen.

Hundreds of residents are waiting to receive what for many of them is their first and only meal for the day.

Gift of the Givers, a non-governmental organisation has been based here since the floods started last month.

The organisation’s events co-ordinator Allauddin Sayed says the floods have led to more people visiting the relief centre in the last week.

“This is the largest ever food distribution for us. We have been assisting close to 4,000 people daily – many of whom are victims of the ongoing floods,” he said.

Residents are given a bag of maize meal, rice, beans, toothpaste, dishwashing liquid, washing powder and petroleum jelly for their skin.

While the Themba Khoza community is trying to return to normalcy, the possibility of more floods means the threat on their lives is never far away.

“So many people have been killed by these floods, I am lucky to be alive. I am very afraid. I don’t want to die here,” says Mr Molapo, as he adds more sand around his house.

This sentiment is not only shared by the residents of this desperate community but all the South Africans who have been forced to cope with the devastation of the floods.

Snowstorm Shatters New York City, Philadelphia Records

-Jan 27,2011

New York City and Philadelphia are just two of the communities across the mid-Atlantic that broke daily snowfall records on Wednesday. For a more elite group that includes New York City, this month is now the snowiest January in history.
With the disruptive storm over, final snow tallies exceed a foot throughout the corridor from Philadelphia to New York City.
Places across southern New England have joined this list with more to follow once the snowstorm finally comes to an end this morning.
The recent storm total snowfall in New York City was 19.0 inches. The 12.3 inches that fell alone on Wednesday broke the day’s long-standing snowfall record of 9 inches from 1871.
The storm also pushed the month’s snow total to 36.0 inches in New York City. That makes this January the snowiest on record, bypassing January 1925 and its 27.4 inches.
This January is also now New York City’s second all-time snowiest month, falling short to February 2010 and its 36.9 inches. There is more snow coming this month and in the not to distant future.
In addition, this is the first time in recorded history that New York City has had two snowstorms drop 18.0 inches or more of snow in the same winter. The last one was the post-Christmas blizzard in December.
Ironically, both of these snowstorms, the one in December and the one in January, hit New York City on the 26th and 27th of the month.
The seasonal snowfall now stands at 56.1 inches in New York City. The snowiest season on record occurred during the winter of 1995-96, when 75.6 inches of snow fell. Given the expected weather pattern over the next month or so, this figure is well within reach. Currently this winter stands at number 6 on the all-time snowiest winters on record.

Volcano eruption in Kyushu sparks evacuations, disrupts transportation services

Residents temporarily evacuated their homes and transportation services were disrupted as smoke continued to billow from the erupting volcano Shinmoedake in the Kirishima range between Kagoshima and Miyazaki prefectures on Jan. 27.

Plumes of smoke rose 2,000 meters following an eruption on Jan. 26, figures from the Kagoshima Local Meteorological Observatory showed. By 9 a.m. the following morning the smoke had fallen to an altitude of 400 meters, but officials said a series of small eruptions were continuing, and called for caution.

“The volcanic activity has just started, so we can expect more periods of rest and activity. There’s also a chance of a major eruption,” an observatory representative said.

The eruptions prompted some residents in Miyazaki Prefecture to temporarily evacuate their homes, while three junior and elementary schools in Miyakonojo, Miyazaki Prefecture, delayed the start of classes by one to two hours.

In the Ojibaru district of Takaharu, a town in Miyazaki Prefecture located about 7 kilometers from the crater, 14 people voluntarily took shelter at a local health and welfare center in the predawn hours of Jan. 27. They returned to their homes later in the day.

The eruptions forced the cancellation of services on the JR Nippo Main Line between Tano and Kokubu stations, on the Nichinan Line between Aoshima and Shibushi stations, and on the whole Kitto Line. A section of the Miyazaki Expressway also remained closed off due to poor visibility.

On the evening of Jan. 26, after the volcano’s eruption warning level was upgraded, the Kirishima Municipal Government in Kagoshima Prefecture closed mountain trail entrances within a 2 kilometer radius. It has asked residents to voluntarily avoid using other trail entrances.

Lightning and fire: Japan on alert after volcano’s biggest eruption in 50 years

A one-mile cordon has been established around a volcano on Mount Kirishima after it erupted scattering rocks and ash across southern Japan and sending smoke billowing 5,000ft into the air.The Meteorological Agency raised the volcanic alert to level 3 as ash today continued to spew from Shinmoedake on Japan’s southernmost main island of Kyushu, and residents have been banned from going within a mile of the volcano following its worst eruption in 50 years.
Agency volcanologist Sei Iijima said the eruption did not pose a threat to nearby cities, and a major eruption was not imminent. But he added: ‘You can never say never with a volcano, although the lack of magma movement beneath the surface leads us to believe that this activity won’t lead to a large-scale eruption,’ he told ABC News.
The volcano, one of 20 inside Mount Kirishima, began erupting around 7.30am yesterday morning and by 3pm heavy smoke had risen to nearly 5,000ft, prompting the meteorological agency to raise the alert level.
Volcanic activity is often reported at Kirishima, but this is the largest eruption recorded there since 1959.
Air space above the mountain remained open today but airlines cancelled a number of domestic flights because of the haze and the buildup of ash on train tracks forced Japan Rail to close several lines. Roads were also shut because of poor visibility.
A small evacuation center was set up overnight in the town of Takaharu, seven miles east of Kirishima, and the town’s general affairs manager Yuji Nakashima said: ‘People told us their windows were rattling and they heard roaring sounds coming from the mountain.’
