Radioactive Water Confirmed in St. Louis Water update 10/29/15

Pay close attention to all these things she is saying. I wish she were wearing more protective gear.
Radioactive Materials Confirmed in St. Louis Groundwater Infowars reporter Lee Ann McAdoo is at the radioactive waste site in St. Louis exposing the lies pushed by the EPA on a community of citizens that are suffering with cancer numbers reaching alarming rates. On top of it all the EPA has now admitted that uranium and radium is leaking into the groundwater.
Health Consultation An Evaluation of Radiation in Groundwater and Air… or Here if that link gets broken: Thank you to Blitz just Blitz for the info link and comment She is on to something about the migration of radionuclides into the water intake systems. The “unspoken Word”, it seems in the report. They only seem to mention the direction its flowing, but not the location of the fresh water intake. ( NW at 415 to 475 feet ASL ) Page 11 in the report, saying it will take 57 years to reach the Missouri river…. at 137 feet per year… I think someone else should check those figures, to be honest.

Coldwater Creek Facts

Mallinckrodt Chemical Works began processing the original Belgian Congo Uranium (U235) in 1942 for the first atomic bomb at its downtown St. Louis location (SLDS). By the mid 1940’s, Mallinckrodt Chemical Works had run out of space and began to ship the radioactive waste offsite, to an underpopulated area, north of St. Louis. The offsite storage was located at the Hazelwood Interim Storage Site (HISS) on Latty Avenue and also at the St. Louis Airport Site (SLAPS). Radioactive materials were stored in bulk, on the ground, open to the elements, and unattended next to Coldwater Creek until the 1970’s. Coldwater Creek runs throughout North St. Louis County and is a tributary for the Missouri River.

Through wind, rain, flooding, and groundwater, Coldwater Creek was contaminated, providing radioactive material a mode of transportation. The area the radioactive material was stored on surrounding the creek consists of porous material and is riddled with underground interconnecting caves, rivers, springs and groundwater tables.

From the 1950’s to 1970’s there was a significant population boom in St. Louis County. With the population growth, there was a flurry of construction activity, building new subdivisions and supporting businesses. Construction grading disturbed the radioactive materials, effectively redistributing the contamination throughout all of North St. Louis County, much like spreading icing on a cake.

Our community has been chronically exposed to ionizing radiation for decades through inhalation and ingestion

Today, the government has acknowledged contamination occurred and is working to clean up the area through a program called FUSRAP (Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program).

Time to wake-up America…

1,000 injured in nuclear protests, police at breaking point

By Jane Burgermeister – November 8, 2010

Like the Roman legions vanquished in the Teutoburger Wald in Lower Saxony in 9 AD, the 17,000 police officers that marched into the woods around the nuclear storage facility in Gorleben in northern Germany on Sunday morning looked invincible. Police personnel from France, Croatia and Poland had joined in the biggest security operation ever mounted against protestors against a train carrying nuclear waste to a depot in an isolated part of  Lower Saxony’s countryside. Helicopters, water canons and police vehicles, including an armoured surveillance truck, accompanied an endless column of anti-riot police mounted on horses and also marching down the railway tracks into the dense woods. Tens of thousands of anti riot police clattered along the tracks, their helmets and visors gleaming in the morning sun, and wearing body armour, leg guards and carrying batons.

But by Sunday night, those same police officers were begging the protestors for a respite.

Trapped in black, icy  woods without supplies or reinforcements able to reach them because of blockades by a mobile fleet of farmer’s tractors, the exhausted and hungry police officers requested negotiations with the protestors. A water cannon truck was blocked by tractors, and yet the police still had to clear 5,000 people lying on the railway track at Harlingen in pitch darkness. The largest ever police operation had descended into chaos and confusion in the autumn woods of Lower Saxony, defeated by the courage and determination of peaceful protestors who marched for miles through woods to find places to lie down on the tracks and to scoop out gravel to delay the progress of the “the train from hell.”

The police union head Reiner Wendt gave vent to the general frustration when he issued a press statement via the DPA news agency last night saying the police had reached exhaustion point and needed a break. Behind the scenes, a battle seemed to be raging between the police chiefs, tucked up in their warm headquarters urging more action, and the exhausted officers on the ground.

The police on the ground won out. The Castor train – called a “Chernobyl on wheels” because it has been carrying 133 tonnes of highly radioactive waste to an unsafe depot – was stopped in the middle of the countryside and NATO barbed wire was placed around it. Lit by floodlights and guarded by a handful of police, the most dangerous train on the planet was forced to a halt after a 63 hour journey across France and Germany.

The defeat of the legions at Teutoburg marked the end of the attempt by the Roman empire to conquer Germania magna. And the failure of the biggest ever police operation two thousand years later in the woods of Lower Saxony to tame women, elderly people and school children protesting the government’s nuclear policy, could well also go down as a turning point.

The Berlin government can no longer rely on the discredited mainstream media to control the way people see issues. Too many people recognise it to be a tool of propaganda. The government now needs to resort to brute force to bludgeon through decisions that enrich corporations and banks and impoverish everyone else. But the police forces  at its disposal are simply not sufficient given the scale of the protests now gripping Germany. Only 1,500 police reinforcements could be mustered on Morning from the entire territory to deal with road blockades by thousands of protestors aiming to delay the transport of the nuclear waste on the final leg of its journey.

The police officers were exhausted after shifts of 24 hours or more, often without any food or just a cappuccino and snack bar, and they had nothing to look forward to but more of the same drudgery after a night spent four to a room in a Youth Hostel.

A leading figure in a German police police union Bernard Witthaut today even lashed out at the government for trying to drive through unpopular policies using the police.

“Whether in Stuttgart or in Wendland today my colleagues are simply not getting out of their anti riot gear because of the wrong decisions by the government,” he said.

Many police officers also expressed sympathy with the protestors’ aims.

The question now is: how long can the use of police to bludgeon protestors continue when the protests are reaching this scale? How long can Germany be governed by a semi authoritarian regime using brute force when the force at its disposal is so small? The German army cannot be deployed on this kind of mission without sparking even more outrage. A false flag terrorist operation will hardly wash when the people are so fed up with the government lies and the media lies. EU soldiers will find it hard to deal with the Germans. The German and EU secret police cannot infiltrate all of the protestor’s organizations when there are simply so many.

The German people as a whole are on the march.

“Citizens in rebellion,” shouted a TAZ headline.

“Civil war in Wendtand,” fumed Bild.

NGO chief Kersin Rudek spoke for many when she said:

“We have lost faith in the government until they prove that their politics is for the people and not for the corporations.”

She talked about the “anger” among people at the “arrogance of the political class.”

As in the Stuttgart 21 railway protests, it was people from all walks of life,  a genuine grass roots movement, that arrived in Wendland to protest the decision by the CDU/CSU/FDP government to ignore a legally binding deadline to phase out nuclear power. Against the wishes of the majority, Bilderberg Chancellor Angela Merkel announced this autumn that 17 reactors would continue for another 12 years at gigantic cost to the tax payer in subsidies.

The tax payers of Lower Saxony even have to foot the bill of  50 million euro for the police operation to protect the nuclear waste – and not the electricity companies making a fortune from the extravagant energy source while the government keeps investments in ground-breaking new renewable energy technologies such as the third generation solar cells at a negligible amount.

As in Stutggart, the police used savage force against peaceful demonstrators reinforcing the impression of a government out of control and refusing to respect the basic democratic right of people to hold protests without being beaten to a pulp. Videos of the Castor transport on Sunday show police beating people with their truncheons, punching them and throwing them to the ground. Police also used tear gas, pepper spray and water canon.,1518,727706,00.html

One clip shows a police officer using his fist to punch a man lying on the railway track in the head.

About a 1,000 people were injured, it is reported. 950 people are reported to have suffered eye injuries due to pepper spray and tear gas, according to a spokesperson of “Castor schottern”. Another sixteen protestors suffered broken bones. There were 29 severe head wounds. Two people had to be taken to hospital.

One person had to be taken by helicopter after suffering multiple bone fractures after being trampled by a police horse.

But as in Stuttgart, the people did not give up in spite of the risk of savage beatings at the hands of the police. They insisted on their civic right enshrined in the constitution to hold peaceful political protests.

More than 50,000 people from all parts of the country and all walks of life attended a rally on a field close to Dannenberg. Thousands then marched through the autumn woods, splitting into small groups to descend into the valley, break through police lines to chain themselves to the rails or remove gravel from the  tracks to delay the train.

According to Spiegel, 7,000 people alone took part in the road and railway blockades.

An armoured police car was set on fire by masked men but it is not clear if this was an agent pravocateur acting to discredit the protestors. A video shows a man able to walk up to the armoured car and set it alight unhindered.

The overwhelming number of protestors were peaceful.

In spite of the sub zero temperatures and ground frost, up to 5000 protestors  lay down on the railway tracks at Harlingen late in the evening and refused to move. Supplies of hot tea, food and blankets were brought to them by mobile kitchens. Fires were lit to help stay warm.

The police worked from midnight until 7 am to clear protestors blocking the track, dragging many to an open air “prison concentration camp” where people were forced to sleep in fields surrounded by police trucks.

This morning, the protestors have regrouped today and thousands are reported to be preparing to block the transport by road of the nuclear waste from Dannenberg to Gorleben.

The organisers of the protest kept journalists and the public informed using live tickers, press releases and at Infopoints so that the whole country could follow the events outside the mainstream media. Radio Wendland is also broadcasting updates on the incredibly heroic resistance of so many people. At great personal risk, tens of thousands of people gave an example of courageous and peaceful non-violent resistance that will surely go down in history.

If this is the resistance for Castor and Stuttgart 21, just imagine what will happen when Germans finally grasp the scale of the banking scam being carried out by their “elite.”

The CDU/CSU/FDP government has already hit record lows in the polls and after Sunday’s savage police operation against peaceful protestors, support for them is sure to plummet further.

The feudal lords without a feudal army to push through their agenda of robbery are facing the end of the road now that their media propaganda apparatus based on the Springer and Bertelsmann empire is falling apart and their strategy of divide and rule through a false left/right political paradigm is no longer working.

A new freedom and power was born in the woods of Wendland. And it belonged to the people who have had enough of the arrogant authoritarian political class.

9/16 Six Nuke Plants SHUTDOWN due to ELECTRICAL problems ~ Rad Chick

This video is discussing ONLY FERMI’s shutdown. SUMMARY if no time for video: (1) There still is no explanation for why the pumps shut down, (2) they still don’t know what the problem is, (3) leaks were identified but spokesperson (Viktoria) “not sure where they are” – and (4) the situation is ONGOING. This is CONFIRMED. Also, Viktoria was very cautious about discussing radiation releases. You can easily detect she is nervous, and says several contradictory things in rapid succession. She went from “no radiation was released that WE DIDN’T EXPECT OR ANTICIPATE” which was then quickly corrected to “no radiation was released” – around 6:55 in video

Seriously, who is running this shitshow??

These are the other plants, with an EXPLOSION occurring at PALO VERDE:

“The following event description is based on information currently available. If through subsequent reviews of this event, additional information is identified that is pertinent to this event, or alters the information being provided at this time a follow-up notification will be made via the ENS or under the reporting requirements of 10CFR50.73.

“Non Class Load Center Breaker, 2ENGN-L04 failed, resulting an a visible observation of rapid combustion and resultant charring (burned area) of the breaker enclosure and housing. No physical deformation to the breaker housing or surrounding area has been identified. The rapid combustion self-extinguished immediately following the audible and visible combustion event. As a result, an Emergency Classification of HU2.2, EXPLOSION was declared due to the Load Center breaker failure and noise and visible indication observed in the field.”

What’s Really Going On At Fukushima? ~ ZeroHedge

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Robert Hunziker via,

Fukushima’s still radiating, self-perpetuating, immeasurable, and limitless, like a horrible incorrigible Doctor Who monster encounter in deep space.

Fukushima will likely go down in history as the biggest cover-up of the 21st Century. Governments and corporations are not leveling with citizens about the risks and dangers; similarly, truth itself, as an ethical standard, is at risk of going to shambles as the glue that holds together the trust and belief in society’s institutions. Ultimately, this is an example of how societies fail.

Tens of thousands of Fukushima residents remain in temporary housing more than four years after the horrific disaster of March 2011. Some areas on the outskirts of Fukushima have officially reopened to former residents, but many of those former residents are reluctant to return home because of widespread distrust of government claims that it is okay and safe.

Part of this reluctance has to do with radiation’s symptoms. It is insidious because it cannot be detected by human senses. People are not biologically equipped to feel its power, or see, or hear, touch or smell it (Caldicott). Not only that, it slowly accumulates over time in a dastardly fashion that serves to hide its effects until it is too late.

Chernobyl’s Destruction Mirrors Fukushima’s Future

As an example of how media fails to deal with disaster blowback, here are some Chernobyl facts that have not received enough widespread news coverage: Over one million (1,000,000) people have already died from Chernobyl’s fallout.

Additionally, the Rechitsa Orphanage in Belarus has been caring for a very large population of deathly sick and deformed children. Children are 10 to 20 times more sensitive to radiation than adults.

Zhuravichi Children’s Home is another institution, among many, for the Chernobyl-stricken: “The home is hidden deep in the countryside and, even today, the majority of people in Belarus are not aware of the existence of such institutions” (Source: Chernobyl Children’s Project-UK).

One million (1,000,000) is a lot of dead people. But, how many more will die? Approximately seven million (7,000,000) people in the Chernobyl vicinity were hit with one of the most potent exposures to radiation in the history of the Atomic Age.

The exclusion zone around Chernobyl is known as “Death Valley.” It has been increased from 30 to 70 square kilometres. No humans will ever be able to live in the zone again. It is a permanent “dead zone.”

Additionally, over 25,000 died and 70,000 disabled because of exposure to extremely dangerous levels of radiation in order to help contain Chernobyl. Twenty percent of those deaths were suicides, as the slow agonizing “death march of radiation exposure” was too much to endure.

Fukushima- The Real Story

In late 2014, Helen Caldicott, M.D. gave a speech about Fukushima at Seattle Town Hall (9/28/14). Pirate Television recorded her speech; here’s the link:

Dr. Helen Caldicott is co-founder of Physicians for Social Responsibility, and she is author/editor of Crisis Without End: The Medical and Ecological Consequences of the Fukushima Nuclear Catastrophe, The New Press, September 2014. For over four decades Dr. Caldicott has been the embodiment of the anti-nuclear banner, and as such, many people around the world classify her as a “national treasure”. She’s truthful and honest and knowledgeable.

Fukushima is literally a time bomb in quiescence. Another powerful quake and all hell could break loose. Also, it is not even close to being under control. Rather, it is totally out of control. According to Dr. Caldicott, “It’s still possible that Tokyo may have to be evacuated, depending upon how things go.” Imagine that!

According to Japan Times as of March 11, 2015: “There have been quite a few accidents and problems at the Fukushima plant in the past year, and we need to face the reality that they are causing anxiety and anger among people in Fukushima, as explained by Shunichi Tanaka at the Nuclear Regulation Authority. Furthermore, Mr. Tanaka said, there are numerous risks that could cause various accidents and problems.”

Even more ominously, Seiichi Mizuno, a former member of Japan’s House of Councillors (Upper House of Parliament, 1995-2001) in March 2015 said: “The biggest problem is the melt-through of reactor cores… We have groundwater contamination… The idea that the contaminated water is somehow blocked in the harbor is especially absurd. It is leaking directly into the ocean. There’s evidence of more than 40 known hotspot areas where extremely contaminated water is flowing directly into the ocean… We face huge problems with no prospect of solution.” (Source: Nuclear Hotseat #194: Fukushima 4th Anniversary – Voices from Japan, March 10, 2015,

At Fukushima, each reactor required one million gallons of water per minute for cooling, but when the tsunami hit, the backup diesel generators were drowned. Units 1, 2, and 3 had meltdowns within days. There were four hydrogen explosions. Thereafter, the melting cores burrowed into the container vessels, maybe into the earth.

According to Dr. Caldicott, “One hundred tons of terribly hot radioactive lava has already gone into the earth or somewhere within the container vessels, which are all cracked and broken.” Nobody really knows for sure where the hot radioactive lava resides. The scary unanswered question: Is it the China Syndrome?

Following the meltdown, the Japanese government did not inform people of the ambient levels of radiation that blew back onto the island. Unfortunately and mistakenly, people fled away from the reactors to the highest radiation levels on the island at the time.

As the disaster happened, enormous levels of radiation hit Tokyo. The highest radiation detected in the Tokyo Metro area was in Saitama with cesium radiation levels detected at 919,000 becquerel (Bq) per square meter, a level almost twice as high as Chernobyl’s “permanent dead zone evacuation limit of 500,000 Bq” (source: Radiation Defense Project). For that reason, Dr. Caldicott strongly advises against travel to Japan and recommends avoiding Japanese food.

Even so, post the Fukushima disaster, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton signed an agreement with Japan that the U.S. would continue importing Japanese foodstuff. Therefore, Dr. Caldicott suggests people not vote for Hillary Clinton. One reckless dangerous precedent is enough for her.

According to Arnie Gundersen, an energy advisor with 39 years of nuclear power engineering experience, as reported in The Canadian on August 15, 2011: “The US government has come up with a decision at the highest levels of the State Department, as well as other departments who made a decision to downplay Fukushima. In April, the month after the powerful tsunami and earthquake crippled Japan including its nuclear power plant, Hillary Clinton signed a pact with Japan that she agreed there is no problem with Japanese food supply and we will continue to buy them. So, we are not sampling food coming in from Japan.”

However, in stark contrast to the United States, in Europe Angela Merkel, PhD physics, University of Leipzig and current chancellor of Germany is shutting down all nuclear reactors because of Fukushima.

Maybe an advanced degree in physics makes the difference in how a leader approaches the nuclear power issue. It certainly looks that way when comparing/contrasting the two pantsuit-wearing leaders, Chancellor Merkel and former secretary of state Clinton.

After the Fukushima blow up, ambient levels of radiation in Washington State went up 40,000 times above normal, but according to Dr. Caldicott, the U.S. media does not cover the “ongoing Fukushima mess.” So, who would really know?

Dr. Caldicott ended her speech on Sept. 2014 by saying: “In Fukushima, it is not over. Everyday, four hundred tons of highly radioactive water pours into the Pacific and heads towards the U.S. Because the radiation accumulates in fish, we get that too. The U.S. government is not testing the water, not testing the fish, and not testing the ambient air. Also, people in Japan are eating radiation every day.”

Furthermore, according to Dr. Caldicott: “Rainwater washes over the nuclear cores into the Pacific. There is no way they can get to those cores, men die, robots get fried. Fukushima will never be solved. Meanwhile, people are still living in highly radioactive areas.”

Fukushima will never be solved because “men die” and “robots get fried.” By the sounds of it, Fukushima is a perpetual radiation meltdown scenario that literally sets on the edge of a bottomless doomsday pit, in waiting to be nudged over.

UN All-Clear Report

A UN (UNSCEAR) report on April 2, 2014 on health impacts of the Fukushima accident concluded that any radiation-induced effects would be too small to identify. People were well protected and received “low or very low” radiation doses. UNSCEAR gave an all-clear report.

Rebuttal of the UNSCEAR report by the German affiliate of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War d/d July 18, 2014 takes a defiant stance in opposition to the UN report, to wit: “The Fukushima nuclear disaster is far from over. Despite the declaration of ‘cold shutdown’ by the Japanese government in December 2011, the crippled reactors have not yet achieved a stable status and even UNSCEAR admits that emissions of radioisotopes are continuing unabated. 188 TEPCO is struggling with an enormous amount of contaminated water, which continues to leak into the surrounding soil and sea. Large quantities of contaminated cooling water are accumulating at the site. Failures in the makeshift cooling systems are occurring repeatedly. The discharge of radioactive waste will most likely continue for a long time.”

“Both the damaged nuclear reactors and the spent fuel ponds contain vast amounts of radioactivity and are highly vulnerable to further earthquakes, tsunamis, typhoons and human error. Catastrophic releases of radioactivity could occur at any time and eliminating this risk will take many decades… It is impossible at this point in time to come up with an exact prognosis of the effects that the Fukushima nuclear disaster will have on the population in Japan… the UNSCEAR report represents a systematic underestimation and conjures up an illusion of scientific certainty that obscures the true impact of the nuclear catastrophe on health and the environment.”

Fukushima’s Radiation and the Future

Mari Yamaguchi, Associated Press (AP), June 12, 2015: “Four years after an earthquake and tsunami destroyed Japan’s Fukushima nuclear power plant, the road ahead remains riddled with unknowns… Experts have yet to pinpoint the exact location of the melted fuel inside the three reactors and study it, and still need to develop robots capable of working safely in such highly radioactive conditions. And then there’s the question of what to do with the waste… serious doubts about whether the cleanup can be completed within 40 years.”

“Although the Chernobyl accident was a terrible accident, it only involved one reactor. With Fukushima, we have the minimum [of] 3 reactors that are emitting dangerous radiation. The work involved to deal with this accident will take tens of years, hundreds of years,” Prof. Hiroaki Koide (retired), Kyoto University Research Reactor Institute, April 25, 2015. “It could be that some of the fuel could actually have gone through the floor of the containment vessel as well… What I’ve just described is very, very logical for anyone who understands nuclear engineering or nuclear energy,” which dreadfully spells-out: THE CHINA SYNDROME.

According to the Smithsonian, April 30, 2015: “Birds Are in a Tailspin Four Years After Fukushima: Bird species are in sharp decline, and it is getting worse over time… Where it’s much, much hotter, it’s dead silent. You’ll see one or two birds if you’re lucky.” Developmental abnormalities of birds include cataracts, tumors, and asymmetries. Birds are spotted with strange white patches on their feathers.

Maya Moore, a former NHK news anchor, authored a book about the disaster: The Rose Garden of Fukushima (Tankobon, 2014), about the roses of Mr. Katsuhide Okada. Today, the garden has perished: “It’s just poisoned wasteland. The last time Mr. Okada actually went back there, he found baby crows that could not fly, that were blind. Mutations have begun with animals, with birds.”

The Rose Garden of Fukushima features a collection of photos of an actual garden that existed in Fukushima, Japan. Boasting over 7500 bushes of roses and 50-thousand visitors a year, the Garden was rendered null and void in an instant due to the triple disaster — earthquake, tsunami, and meltdown.

The forward to Maya’s book was written by John Roos, former US Ambassador to Japan 2009-13: “The incredible tale of Katz Okada and his Fukushima rose garden was told here by Maya Moore… gives you a small window into what the people of Tohoku faced.”

Roos’ “small window” could very well serve as a metaphor for a huge black hole smack dab in the heart of civilization. Similarly, Fukushima is a veritable destruction machine that consumes everything in its path, and beyond, and its path is likely to grow. For certain, it is not going away.

Thus, TEPCO (Tokyo Electric Power Company) is deeply involved in an asymmetric battle against enormously powerful unleashed out-of-control forces of E=mc2.

Clearly, TEPCO has its back to the wall. Furthermore, it’s doubtful TEPCO will “break the back of the beast.” In fact, it may be an impossible task.

Maybe, just maybe, Greater Tokyo’s 38 million residents will eventually be evacuated. Who knows for sure?

Only Godzilla knows!

Ken Rohla “Staying Healthy in a Toxic World” ~ Red Ice Creations

April 29, 2015
Ken Rohla is a natural health educator and inventor specializing in rejuvenation and cellular regeneration. Formally educated in electrical engineering and computer science, Ken worked for 23 years in the medical industry, then became certified as a natural health educator in 2005. In this discussion, we begin with a broad look at the vaccine industry and the detrimental implications of mandatory vaccinations. Ken explains some simple remedies that can be used to prevent or heal damage from vaccines. He gives an overview of scalar waves and how this energy can be altered at a subatomic level in the body to promote healing and wellness. We talk about the effects of radiation fallout from Fukushima and other nuclear radiation disasters, and Ken emphasizes some of the nontoxic technologies available to neutralize and clean up the mess in our bodies and environments. In the second hour, Ken names and defines key supplements and nutrients for detoxifying and healing the body from damaging exposure to everyday pollutants. We discuss the issues of GMO foods and organic food options that are extremely lacking in nutrients. Ken makes note of the solutions available for individuals to get nutrient dense, inexpensive superfoods by growing indoors using hydroponic and aquaponics tower gardens with high Ormus nutrients. Further, we discuss the different psychic forces on the planet battling for control of our minds and how we can unplug from the programming. Lastly, we look at the best methods for filtering and cleaning up water.

Individuality and Spirituality in the Age of Institutional Rule

16th September 2014

By Ethan Indigo Smith and Andy Whiteley

Contributing Writers for Wake Up World

Humanity has lost its way, but we were led astray. The very institutions we invented to secure us, failed. They have achieved the opposite, and we, the collective of humanity are forced to live in the tribal, vengeance-ruled war world from which institutions invariably profit. And even if you are not completely indoctrinated by this institutionalization, generations of the collective have been indoctrinated, and by reinforcing social “norms”, the steered diligently steer their peers further toward the cliff edge.

Throughout our society is a misguided, socially polarized perspective. Everywhere we look, the truth is deliberately conjured and obscured, leading to divergent oppositions; from the simplest to the most complex, from garden plants to nuclear power “plants”. No matter the subject, no matter the related tangential beliefs, the divergence can be summarized via one simple divider – institutionalization or individuation.

We have been collectively steered by oligarchical institutions toward institutional thinking, allowing unnatural mechanizations to be granted the rights of individuals, and enabling a culture of war, competition and separation. So where does this leave we natural, spiritual beings, who are inherently wired for peace, co-operation and oneness?

This article is a discussion of various of modes of thinking, which compare and contrast institutionalization with individuation. Confusing the two, as in the latest trend of awarding the rights of men to machines, is the new shell humanity has wrapped itself in. And the divine right of institutions is now, dare we say, the essence of what the individuated around the world are rallying against, and what the institutionalized are fighting to protect.

Corruption of Our Food Supply

With this mindset embedded in the collective psyche, those institutionalized individuals figuratively or literally tout exposure to industrial excrement as nutrient, while the individuated among us warn that the industrial poison will kill and demand integrative conditions instead of those suitable only to oligarchical institutions. Some “scientists” have claimed that their “research” (read obfuscation) has found “conventional” food is the same as organic, with no negligible differences in nutrition content. But the facts tell a different story.

And therein is evidence of such social steering, through which pseudo-scientific “facts” are considered. Throughout recorded time, organic farming has been the convention, only recently have pesticides and fertilizers and herbicides been introduced into the food chain, along with factory farming and the genetic modification of plants to survive lethal doses of Monsanto’s Roundup (glyphosate) that kills everything it comes in contact with – including the global honey bee population. Never mind the epidemic levels of disease glyphosate exposure causes in humans. Yet it is organic (read unpoisoned) food that bears the burden of a prefix in our language.

Indoctrinated by misinformation, many people suggest that genetic modification is equivalent to traditional seed hybridization. But they are not equivalent. In the same way that a square is a rectangle, but a rectangle is not a square, seed hybridization is modification, but it is a modification that an individual can facilitate – with the aid of nature – and is not comparable, in either method or result, to the dangerous laboratory modifications touted by institutional leaders as the way to “feed the world”.

Undoubtedly, there are other ways.

The Nuclear Era

Just like the infiltration of GMOs into our food supply, when it comes to nuclear experimentation, our logic is flawed – but even more so, it is steered.

The complexity of nuclear experimentation is illustrative of the divergence away from manifest truth to total spiritual oligarchical collectivism.

One of the things that grew out the early days of the nuclear experiment was the idea of hormesis, convincing (emphasize con) many that external exposure to radiation is in fact beneficial! This con was originally touted in uranium mines, and now along the North Pacific Coast, etc. The concept of hormesis coincided with the flabbergasting idea, put forth by “scientists” who obviously failed chemistry, that all radiation is the same. Yet this is so far from the truth. In fact not all bequerels are created equal.

For example, the argument for hormesis is somewhat a corrupt conjuration that begins in some truth. The truth is that exposure to some radiation stimulates an immune response, because everything in your body is so heavily affected by radiation exposure that a physiological self-preservation response kicks in. But the “beneficial” result of that immune response is short lived. In the long/mid term, the human body does not benefit from radiation exposure and cannot maintain the full-tilt immune response required to deal with prolonged exposure. And the nuclear industry’s catastrophic history proves it.

The problem with hormesis related to industrial nuclear waste is that there are all kinds of accompanying elements, particulates and gasses that are certain to kill you – despite what the pro nuke kooks suggest; the same kooks, incidentally, who said everything at Fukushima 1 was fine after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, and who still say all is well, even after the triple meltdown and ongoing radioactive pollution spilling from the damaged reactor. [For more on the nuclear industry’s ongoing denial, please see: GE Spokesperson Discusses Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Disaster – Interview and Analysis)]

Hormesis is a load of nuclear industry jive. And while the nuclear experimentation industry is the most complex mechanization, it has a whole crew representing an equally complex system of manipulation to maneuvre it into social acceptance. Following the 2011 Fukushima meltdown, Dr. Peter Karamoskos, a nuclear radiologist and a public representative on the radiation health committee of the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency said in an article for the Sydney Morning Herald:

You have to hand it to the nuclear industry and its acolytes. In the middle of the second-worst nuclear power disaster in history at Fukushima, and with still no end in sight, you would think they would respond with contrition, humility and profuse mea culpas. Not on your life. The industry representatives and its acolytes came out swinging in full denial attire…

But more insidious and objectionable is the creeping misinformation that the nuclear industry has fed into the public sphere over the years. There seems to be a never-ending cabal of paid industry scientific ”consultants” who are more than willing to state the fringe view that low doses of ionising radiation do not cause cancer and, indeed, that low doses are actually good for you and lessen the incidence of cancer.

Despite the obvious risks, many people still see nuclear energy experimentation as an alternative to the ignition of petroleum fuels. However the petroleum and nuclear industries are basically the same institutional formation; they benefit those at the top of the oligarchy, and endanger the rest of us in the process.

Advocates of the nuclear position argue that nuclear energy is a ‘green’ energy with a zero or low carbon footprint. But nuclear energy is not green by any stretch of the imagination. To say nuclear power has a zero footprint is absurd, when this most lethal, toxic waste is virtually indestructible for millions of years. It is dangerous and destructive to all biological beings on this planet. There is no diluting radiation there is only dispersal. Scientifically speaking, the risk cycle of nuclear power generation cannot be validated as “safe” until waste can be permanently removed, stored or degraded, and the effects on human and environmental health entirely mitigated. And today, that is simply not the case.

Moreover, the nuclear energy and the nuclear arms industries are inextricably linked.

Nuclear Armament as a Means of Defense

The nuclear era began with a boom, and secrets, with the first atomic bombing of New Mexico and then Hiroshima and Nagasaki, etc. Soon after the industry’s first detonations, the atomic energy industry began. And it’s all just another day in the experiment that is the atomic precipice – one that has thousand millennia long implications.

The scholars of the status quo insist that the nuclear armament of the opposing forces in the cold war, pitted against each other, prevented those nuclear nations from going to war. The theory was that our mutually assured destruction viaweaponry of total annihilation would prevent us from using such weapons. And yet today we are faced with widening dispersal of weapons among many nations, with increasing numbers of nations as foes.

More importantly, the threat of radioactive pollution from nuclear detonations threatens the interconnected web of life, as no living being with cells can defend themselves from its toxicity. Thus, considering nuclear armament as a means of “defense”, not a threat, is an oxymoron, touted by morons.

Rise of the Police State

It is the same institutional thinking that has led our society to develop and deploy non-lethal weapons (ie. stun guns), and to accept increasingly militant police, who force individual compliance to institutional rule, while still using lethal weapons against those people considered to have “crossed a line” somehow.

Why is there now overwhelming and unnecessary aggression used by many police? Why are police forces deployed to control populations who protest against the actions of their institutions instead of defending their rights? Why, if there has been an increase in the development of “non-lethal weaponry” is there also an increase in deployment of lethal weaponry such as automatic rifles, alongside armored vehicles? Why, with an increase in the development of “non-lethal weaponry”, are police not trained to manage extreme situations accordingly, instead of routinely shooting dangerous armed offenders in the abdomen?

Why is it that we have surveillance technology used on all of us before the fact, instead of being used to track criminals after a crime has been committed? Does the emerging surveillance culture imply that we are all criminals-in-waiting? Couldn’t we eliminate most need for confrontational force and dangerous police car chases by using such advanced surveillance technology instead of resorting to violent forceful knee-jerk capture tactics in the first instance, which – as another example of dangerous institutional thinking – often end in the death or injury of the innocent and guilty alike?

Individual or Institutional Empowerment?

Today people look for religious, corporate and state institutions to tell us their answers to our questions instead of becoming and realizing our own selves. It seems people today would rather die for an institution than go through the process of individuation. As an institutionalize being, instead of saying “I am Ethan Indigo Smith” or “I am Andy”, one would identify themselves as a cog of some religious machine or so on. “I am catholic”, or “I am American”.

In contrast, there are so many different forms of, and names for, tai chi chuan or shadow-boxing because individuals learned forms of these practices and then made them their own, to suit their own character and intent. Tai chi is a martial art and specifically a form of kung fu. The meaning of kung fu is “stop war”, from what we understand as westerners interpreting summations of an ancient language. There are two symbols involved in kung fu: “stop” or “halt”, as in the gesture with open hand, and “power/war”. So one way, essentially the basic way, to interpret the symbols is as hand power, or “might makes right”. The correct or higher way to interpret kung fu is “stop war”; that being strong makes it such that one does not have to fight, and then secondarily pursues anything but fighting.

Yoga has been steered the same. It is now, for the majority of practitioners, just a workout and not a work-in; a way to coordinate the body with mind. But the ultimate fight is within, with your ego, your shadow.

Why do so many people attend college to earn and so few to learn? Why is it that so few individuals and institutions consider helping others, but are ever quick to hinder others? Why are we steered to be selfish in our obtaining and experiencing, instead of being unselfish? Why are we trained to be passionate instead of being compassionate? For as many gyms as there are, for as many people who do train in some manner, there are fewer people who meditate and even fewer outlets for meditation.

How often do you meditate? When did you last take pause to genuinely reflect? Do you afford your spiritual being the same time and energy as your institutional obligations?

Holy Wars are a War Within

Everything is spiritual, ethereal in the first primal order. Spirit does need physical assistance, rather the physical realm acts in accordance to, and reflects, the spiritual being.

The manifestation of a war, in particular wars those of religious foundation, is a reflection of the collective war within. Disconnected from our true spiritual essence, humanity is engaged in a war with itself, where institutions rally individuals to fight over the “one true faith”, against those who we are taught do not share our spirituality, or our humanity. It is such institutional thinking that has led nationalistic and religious individuals to believe they can fight their way to redemption, heaven, or nirvana.

Considering your physical being as a tool, and becoming anything but a compassionate meditative conduit to Spirit, makes you a tool for such institutions – not a vessel for spirit or god. To survive, we must let go of institutional attachments, and go within. Deep within. And to do that, we must focus on the meaning, and not just the mantra.

The repetition of mantra is a mechanical operation that leads to magical experience. But the repetition of mantra is meaningless if the mind is focused on the method, not the meaning. Institutionalized religion is a form of external worship, which draws our attention to the method – the structure – and not the meaning. Yet true spirituality and spiritual awareness necessitates a responsibility to self and to others, not to religious structure or expectation, and it is there for all of us, without the need for religious and institutional alignment.

[To those who have not experienced the magic of mantra or connection to source, and who seek proof, simply ask them if they ever had a dream and then, ask them to prove it.]

Life and Death

Life itself is sustainable, but each individual expression of life is not; that is, no one gets out of here alive. There is no reason that we should create an environment, or necessary social structures, that are not sustainable beyond our own life span. To do so reflects dedication to the short term aspirations of corporate and government institutions, not the long term aspirations of humanity itself. Such aspirations reflect our conditioned belief that our life span, of say 80 years, is a long time – when it is in fact a blink of a Universal eye.

The “bucket list” mentality, which essentially tells us, “I’m only here once, so I’m going to get mine and go big”, is an expression of that short term thinking. So too is the rise of the industrial era, which was built on the false premise that perpetual economic growth is possible on a finite planet, and which ultimately served the interests of the “baby boom” generation to the detriment of all else. It has resulted in a polluted and bereft environment, and a twisted unsustainable concept of consumption and commerce – a legacy that is now left to younger generations to reverse.

If humanity is to survive, instead of living for now, the Rule of The Seven Generations must apply. Instead of adhering to the methods of self-preserving institutions, and focussing on what we ourselves can gain from such compliance, we need to consider entirety in equanimity. We must recognize our Oneness, our true nature, and act as Universal and Spiritual beings.

The Power of Love

True love has the power to change the world. What is worse is that when too few people find love, the world is also changed. Many find themselves in disarray and are tricked into lending their energy to other ideas – to institutionalized operations rather than individuals. This can take the form of anything from religious fanaticism to professions of war. True love can empower, but truly misdirected passion perceived as love can cause destruction and abuse of all sorts.

Typically, people who meditate more do less harm, by increasing their universal understating and allowing this perspective to influence their surroundings. Yet most people would rather dig a mine then dig into their own mind, where the rewards are truly greater. Instead of digging into the ground to look for minerals we need to practice grounding and meditation, to activate our compassion and find pure consciousness. Instead of practicing meditation (akin to The Secret) where we proactively work to activate our passions into being, we must mediate on the four aspects of love as posited by Buddha; love of self, love off others, love of the happiness of others, love for all in equanimity.

While institutional thinking reigns, individual ascension – the precursor to that of the collective – cannot exist. Only by rejecting the authority of institutions and embracing the sovereign authority to which we as Spiritual beings are entitled, will each of us find what we are yearning for. Peace.

“When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace”  ~ Jimi Hendrix

Sofia Smallstorm – Hour 1 – Chemtrails to Pseudo-Life & Synthetic Biology

Outstanding interview exposing NEW disturbing information on chemtrail emissions, the progression of Morgellons disease, radiation releases and the links to transhumanism. Henrik Palmgren “Creepy, scary of of cou+rse weirdly fascinating at the same time….”

March 19, 2014
Sofia Smallstorm is known for her research on 9/11, which culminated in the documentary 9/11 Mysteries. She is also known for her research on the connection between chemtrails and synthetic biology. With Sofia, we’ll explore a different angle of engineering popularly called “futurism.” Synthetic biology is the new frontier of science, combining genetics, robotics and nano-technology with artificial intelligence, hybridizing natural forms and engineering tissues beyond our wildest dreams. What is the deep agenda behind this science? Sofia talks about the presence of Morgellons disease in humans, which illustrates what nanotechnology is capable of. She also elaborates on the scope of planetary engineering and how much of planetary life it includes. We’ll hear about radiation biology and bacteria by the name of deinococcus radiodurans that may be important to transhumanists in the near future. In the second hour, Sofia speaks more about the explosion of cellular technology and synthetic biology and how these may be used to create life forms and change the world as we know it. How would our world be organized then? Will we turn ourselves over to machines or will we become technological hybrids?

Tornado hits U.S. nuclear facility – Uranium enrichment building damaged — Parts of cooling towers destroyed — Alert declared for ‘emergency condition’ (PHOTOS)

Here’s nature’s wake-up call for humanity; NOW is the time to demand the release of free energy technology, and an end to suppression once and for all. {~A~}

Portsmouth Daily Times, Nov. 18, 2013: Tornado hit Paducah plant Sunday [in Kentucky]

WPSD, Nov. 17, 2013: One of the plant’s four enrichment production buildings, the adjacent cooling towers and nearby electrical switchyard sustained most of the damage. Several of the transite panels that cover the building were torn off or broken. Electrical power poles, wiring and other electrical circuits were also damaged. The shrouds or collars that surround the fans on this set of cooling towers were destroyed.

NBC Lexington, KY, Nov. 18, 2013: Officials were continuing to monitor the facility Monday, but said there had been no hazardous material releases, according to the statement.

NRC Report, Nov. 17, 2013: [A]n alert was declared at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant due to an apparent tornado strike/severe weather event. […] “This event is reportable under 10 CFR 76.120(a)(4) where an emergency condition has been declared an Alert. […]”

The Courier Journal, Nov. 18, 2013: USEC stopped enriching uranium there in June.

Nearly all news outlets covering the Paducah tornado claim the plant stopped enriching uranium earlier this year. However, according to this report, (Emphasis Added) “On 14 November 2013 Russia has shipped the last batch of low-enriched uranium […] The cargo will be delivered to Baltimore and then to USEC’s Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Kentucky, where the uranium will be used to manufacture fuel for U.S. nuclear power plants.”

Also note the vast majority of reports only say that no “hazardous materials” were released — releases of “radioactive material” are not denied or admitted (see USEC’s twitter feed). The plant’s internal documents clearly distinguish between “hazardous” and “radioactive”. For example, APPENDIX F reads, “Categories of waste evaluated were LLW [low-level radioactive waste], TRU [transuranic waste], hazardous waste […] All low-level mixed (radioactive and hazardous) waste (LLMW) and hazardous waste at these sites are transported off site.”

Interestingly, USEC’s last tweet before the tornado hits is a message promoting a local showing of CNN’s much maligned pro-nuclear film ‘Pandora’s Promise‘, an event they appear to be sponsoring.

Whistleblowers in Jeopardy as Nuclear Industry Looks for Shortcuts ~ Arnie Gunderson

nuclear regulatory
Global Research, November 16, 2013

In sworn testimony in Monroe, Michigan, the NRC admitted that it has stripped whistleblower protection from the licensing of new nuclear power plants.

By flip-flopping on what it means to be an applicant, the whistleblowers who are truly looking to protect the public health and safety are having their lives and livelihoods jeopardized.

Fairewinds Chief Engineer Arnie Gundersen discusses what this means as utilities look for shortcuts and cheaper ways to build new nukes.

Vancouver 24 hrs, Aug 11, 2013: [Morton] says Fisheries and Oceans Canada [FOC] is ignoring the problem. […] According to emails from FOC, the federal authority had asked the marine biologist to send in 20 to 30 herring in September 2011, saying that would be “more than sufficient for the lab to look for clinical signs of disease and provide sufficient diagnostics.” She did, and hasn’t heard back since. Unprecedented: Sockeye salmon at dire historic low on Canada’s Pacific coast — “We think something happened in the ocean” — “The elders have never seen anything like this at all” — Alaska and Russia also affected (MAP)

Aboriginal people in British Columbia who rely on Skeena River sockeye are facing some extremely difficult decisions as sockeye salmon returns plunge to historic lows.

Lake Babine Chief Wilf Adam was on his way to Smithers, B.C., on Monday for a discussion about whether to entirely shut down the food fishery on Lake Babine, something he said would be drastic and unprecedented […]

Last month, the department noted returns for the Skeena River sockeye run were dire. […]

[Mel Kotyk, North Coast area director for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans] said department scientists don’t know why the return numbers are so low. “[…] we think something happened in the ocean.”

“[…] We’ve never seen anything like this in all these years I’ve done this. I’ve asked the elders and they have never seen anything like this at all.” [said Chief Wilf Adam]

More: “The sockeye runs way up north in the Skeena are low. The [fish] out of Bristol Bay, Alaska is down 30 to 35 per cent over last year. Russia has got a limited number of fish in the market. They are down about 40 per cent over all their salmon fisheries.”

Gundersen: We are going to see top of the food chain animals like tuna and salmon and things like that that bioaccumulate […] I am concerned that the FDA is not monitoring fish entering the United States […] I am thinking by 2013 we might see contamination of the water and of the top of the food chain fishes on the West Coast.

Gundersen: Federal and state agencies are not measuring this… I’ve been working on the West Coast and I’ve been trying to get the people of Oregon to demand of their state, the people of Alaska to demand of their state: Check the salmon, it is not difficult.

Radioactive Water From Fukushima Is Systematically Poisoning The Entire Pacific Ocean

Until the time comes when we have moved past the shift and have raised our vibrations enough to heal the planet – and ourselves – it’s best to eliminate seafood from your diet and stay out of the Pacific ocean waters. In the mean time, we can send healing energy to the oceans and work with Gaia as much as we can to transmute the radiation. Also, there is higher technology available that works with frequency to change the atomic structure of radiation, unfortunately it’s off world technology that won’t be released until the cabal has been removed from power. So, even though this “appears” to be a very bad situation for the long run, remember we don’t have all the data on technology that will come online after the “event”, “shift”…whatever you want to call it.

In addition to the availability off world technology, it’s ultimately  important to BELIEVE and KNOW in our hearts that humanity will work in unity consciousness with the use of organic technology to heal the planet, with guidance and direction from Gaia Herself.

Fukushima-Contamination-Pacific-Ocean-450x253Right now, a massive amount of highly radioactive water is escaping into the Pacific Ocean from the ruins of the destroyed Fukushima nuclear facility in Japan.  This has been going on all day, every day for more than two years.  The enormous amounts of tritium, cesium and strontium that are being released are being carried by wind, rain and ocean currents all over the northern Hemisphere.  And of course the west coast of the United States is being hit particularly hard.  When you drink water or eat seafood that has been contaminated with these radioactive particles, they can stick around for a very long time.  Over the coming years, this ongoing disaster could potentially affect the health of millions upon millions of people living in the northern hemisphere, and the sad thing is that a lot of those people will never even know the true cause of their health problems. For a long time, the Japanese government has been trusting Tepco to handle this crisis, but now it has become abundantly clear that Tepco has no idea what they are doing.  In fact, the flow of radioactive water has gotten so bad that authorities in Japan are now calling it an “emergency” More

It’s very likely that some of the radioactive material — the melted cores — have moved into the earth.
So it’s beyond containment right now.
I think that’s the tragedy that we see unfolding as Fukushima’s radioactive water crisis is only beginning.…

Cancer kills Fukushima manager who stayed at post to prevent a meltdown

July 10, 2013TOKYO The former boss of Japan’s Fukushima nuclear plant, who stayed at his post to try to tame runaway reactors after the 2011 tsunami, died of cancer yesterday, the operator said. Masao Yoshida, 58, was at the power station on March 11, 2011, when waves swamped cooling systems and sparked meltdowns that released plumes of radiation. Yoshida led the subsequent effort to get the crippled complex under control, as workers battled frequent aftershocks to try to prevent the disaster worsening. Government contingency plans revealed after the event showed how scientists feared a chain reaction if Fukushima spiraled out of control, a scenario that could have meant evacuating Tokyo. Yoshida’s selfless work is contrasted in the public mind with the attitude of his employers, who seemed willing to abandon the complex and are popularly believed to have shirked their responsibility. “He died of esophageal cancer at 11:32am today at a Tokyo hospital,” said a spokesman for plant operator Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO) yesterday. Yoshida left the plant soon after being suddenly hospitalized in late November 2011. TEPCO has said his cancer was unlikely to be linked to radiation exposure in the months after the disaster. The company has said it would take at least five years and normally 10 years to develop this particular condition if radiation exposure were to blame. Following surgery for cancer, Yoshida suffered a brain hemorrhage and had another operation in July 2012, TEPCO said. Yoshida was still employed by TEPCO at the time of his death. The disaster saw three reactors go into meltdown, spewing radiation into the air, sea and food chain. No deaths have been directly attributed to the radiation released by the accident, but it has left large areas of land uninhabitable. The plant itself remains fragile. TEPCO said yesterday radioactive substances in groundwater have rocketed over the past three days and engineers did not know where the leak was coming from. Scientists say decommissioning the plant could take 40 years. –
Dangerous leak reported at crippled plant: Highly radioactive groundwater recently discovered in test wells at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant is likely spreading at the site and leaking into adjoining ocean waters, Japan’s nuclear regulator said, raising worries about the plant operator’s efforts to clean up the disaster site. The tests by Tokyo Electric Power Co. 9501.TO -0.90% have found a recent increase in radiation levels in wells meant to monitor water safety, with some radioactive levels around 200 times the allowed limits. Experts say the findings raise concerns of widening environmental damage but pose no broader threats to health given the location of the plant on the oceanfront and the lack of any residents living nearby. TEPCO said that samples taken from a test well on Tuesday showed the highest levels they have so far recorded of cesium 134 and cesium 137. Both are considered health risks if consumed since they can accumulate in muscles and contribute to higher rates of cancer. The irradiated water is believed to be leaking from the heavily damaged cores at the three reactors that were operating when a massive quake and tsunami struck the plant in March 2011, causing Japan’s worst-ever nuclear plant accident. In addition, runoff rainwater entering the plant site is flowing into heavily contaminated areas, picking up nuclear debris. TEPCO says that it hasn’t seen any evidence that the problem is spreading beyond the plant, with no significant increase in radioactive levels at the 16 sampling points it has in waters located just off the plant.
But the Nuclear Regulation Authority, created in September 2012 in the aftermath of the Fukushima accident, believes the contamination is spreading. “We strongly suspect that high concentrations of contaminated water are leaking to the ground, and spreading to the sea,” the agency said Wednesday. Commenting on the report, agency chairman Shunichi Tanaka also expressed concerns about the reliability of TEPCO’s data. “We need to consider whether we should be relying only on data provided by TEPCO, and check for ourselves the level of contamination in seawater,” he said at a meeting releasing the report. The new leaks are especially problematic for TEPCO since it is trying to show that it has learned the lessons from the Fukushima accident and is seeking approval to resume operations at part of its Kashiwazaki-Kariwa nuclear power plant in northwestern Japan, the world’s largest in terms of capacity. Health experts say that it is highly difficult to gauge the potential broader health impact from the leaks, and stressed the importance of long-term monitoring that may need to go on for decades or longer. “Underground water moves through layers and eventually goes to the sea. The process sometimes takes a thousand years, during the time, it will be necessary to keep monitoring,” said Manabu Fukumoto, professor of Tohoku University’s Medical School who leads a study on the health effects in the nuclear accident-hit area. “There won’t be immediate impacts unless you go near the reactors. But for the longer term, radiation could cause higher rates of cancer,’ said Minoru Takata, director of the Radiation Biology Center at Kyoto University. –WSJ
