Hemp Could Replace Petroleum As A Fuel Source

By Doug Fine

It was midday on February 10, 2013, and I was very smoothly cruising south out of Denver, Colorado, in a hemp-powered limo. A sleek cream-colored 1979 Mercedes 300D, in fact, purportedly originally owned by Ferdinand Marcos.

“Plenty of space,” the driver told me as when I asked for the keys to the trunk before the drive. “Imelda’s shoes aren’t in there any more.”

Hemp oil was the fuel, but it’s not the kind of thing that I, the pampered passenger, would notice if I weren’t a cannabis journalist. The vehicle was equipped with a proprietary shock system that results in the sort of sensory experience I normally associate with water beds. The giant back seat (more of a back room) sofa—, indeed, all the seats—, were was covered in sheepskin. There was room enough for me to do my morning yoga back there.

Regardless of the unbelievably comfortable ride’s lineage, Bill Althouse, the chauffeur, was trying to demonstrate something on this enjoyable winter outing to Colorado Springs. What the longtime sustainability consultant and renewable energy engineer was showing is that today, in 2013, a plant cultivated by humans for eight millennia can replace petroleum.

In this same year, 2013 is a year during which, is a year during which [DF1] we same humans will no doubt surpass 2010’s consumption of 37.7 billion barrels of oil—that’s 87 million barrels a day, or a million barrels a second.27

It wasn’t proving my least eventful road trip ever. We noticed before we hit Castle Rock that we’d slightly miscalculated the distance for our planned spine-o’-the-Rockies drive this day. But, with a few roadside top-offs, we pulled it off on fumes thanks to the excellent 22 twenty-two MPG we got on hemp biodiesel running through a big, old engine engineered for dictator spinal comfort, not for efficiency.

We wound up using seven gallons of hemp oil for our ride. The U.S. government says that petro diesel spews 22.38 pounds of CO2 into the atmosphere per gallon. That means, since the statistics folks at the Energy Information Agency also say biodiesel releases 78 percent% less carbon, that in this short road trip we prevented 122 pounds of carbon from, ya know, clouding the future of our species. And we didn’t give a penny to ExxonMobil.

For reasons of scale alone, seed oil might not immediately prove the ideal part of the plant for exploiting hemp’s energy potential, according to Althouse. For one thing which is to say, it’d take an awful lot of hemp acreage to prove cost- competitive at the pump. Sure beats fossil diesel, though, in odor alone. The exhaust smelled organic. Like all vegetable- oil-based fuel, it made one hungry.28 Ran quieter and more efficiently, too, Althouse said.

The fuel itself, I earlier noticed as I watched the 61sixty-one-year-old Althouse pour it in from a heavy plastic container, was the fecund green of a lily pad, and it wasn’t easy to acquire or process. Althouse managed to get his hands on some five- gallon “cubies” of food- grade Canadian hemp oil, which was then processed into biodiesel by a local Colorado outfit called ClearEcos.

Back in Imelda’s limo, Althouse said that he’d like to see cannabis’s fiber harnessed for energy rather than the seed oil we were using. At the very least he’d like to see oil cultivars specially developed for fuel, per Potter of the CIC’s sense that a hemp application only works in the big leagues if the right varieties are utilized.

“This Finola [(cultivar]) we’re driving on produces an ideal Omega ratio,” he said. “It’s food, not fuel.”

Here’s why this matters: ClearEcos’s Kurt Lange said that the very lignan and other nutritive components that make hemp seed oil a genuine superfood make it difficult to process to the viscosity needed for federally- approved biofuel.

“We increased the process time to deal with the additional fatty acid chains,” he said of my limo ride’s tankful of hemp oil. It’s not ready for prime time at the corner gas station, in other words, despite the carbon we kept from emitting on February 10 even with this prototype form of cannabis fuel. It’d probably price out north of $10 dollars a gallon—until American farmers get those two million acres planted.

Lang’s piece of behind-the-curtain processing information explains why at no time does my Vaporware Sensor sound more piercingly than when I venture into the energy sector. Probably because it’s so vital to our Netflix, texting, and Cancun vacations (not to mention our food supply) that we resolve our little fossil/nuclear problem, we subject ourselves to a lot of premature excitement about Next Great Energy Supplies. Most of these, so far, have turned out to, at best, require more time and infrastructural investment than excites our insufficiently climate-concerned representatives.

Not that there’s anything inherently wrong with huge investment in important endeavors. It took a massive investment to create, nearly overnight, a wartime economy that could beat Japan after Pearl Harbor. One day General Motors made cars, the next it made tanks. Indeed I keep waiting for President Obama to keep his campaign promise to put America back to work building a sustainable energy grid infrastructure. Make no mistake: Climate change (the sum off its causes and offshoots) is a Pearl Harbor, minus the instant explosions so useful for mobilizing public opinion.

The really good news is that hemp energy needn’t be hugely expensive. Althouse’s message is that, until we develop the right cultivars and grow them en masse, it might not be hemp at the gas pump we see first (via seed), but hemp at the power plant (via fiber). Which is, from a climate stabilization perspective, actually far more important to our species’ survival. Why? Because 40 percent% of carbon emissions come from power plants, according to Daniel Becker of the Safe Climate Campaign.[CE2] [DF3]

So if not hemp biodiesel (in the short term, at least), how exactly are we to transition from climate-altering petroleum and coal without giving up Netflix and Cancun? To answer that, we’re a-’headin’ to Kentucky.

The Internet Reformation that’s sweeping the world

Digital-trends

By Daily Bell Staff – March 29, 2016

… Along with the crackdown on dissent and freedom of speech, as well as an increasingly ideological tone, some observers worry that Chinese politics is now taking a more authoritarian direction of the kind not seen since the days of Chairman Mao. And with the normal political process so opaque and closed, the things we can glimpse on the edges of China’s parliamentary set pieces are sometimes all we have to go on in trying to assess the truth.- BBC

There have been two communication revolutions in the past millennium.

The first unleashed the Gutenberg press that allowed masses of people to read, first the Bible and then other books – and to discover that they had been lied to on many fronts. This led to the Reformation and many other disruptive religious, sociopolitical and economic changes.

The second communication revolution is the one we call the Internet Reformation. It is just as profound as the thought revolution caused by the Gutenberg press and is having an equally significant impact.

Predictably, elites have fought back. They have tried to slow the circulation of information via copyright, just as they have before. Copyright has been vehemently expanded and enforced; wars have been expanded and prosecuted, as well; economic disasters are growing. The idea is to damp down the rate of social change.

Nonetheless, convulsive changes are occurring around the world and in the US where the Tea Party and the 2016’s political season are in the process of destroying the current two party system.

Europe, too, has seen the rise of forces opposed to both the status quo and the EU. A vote on Britain’s potential Brexit, its possible exit from the EU, may soon be mimicked by other countries.

Recently, we came upon a blurb authored by the controversial economic analyst Martin Armstrong. We don’t have any position on Mr. Armstrong’s financial theories or professional difficulties, but he certainly is known for his economic insights.

Here’s an excerpt:

… We are watching a worldwide uprising against government. This is the West’s version of 1989 which took down Communism. We are witnessing opposition to the establishment everywhere from Germany, France, and Britain, to even China …  The Chinese version of Donald Trump is Ren Zhiquiang, who has defied the Communist Party Leader President Xi Jinpeng … Things are changing on a global scale.

Armstrong goes on to explain that Ren has received extraordinary support in China for his criticism of the Chinese Party.

Ren is a wealthy, prominent dissident. And though the Chinese authorities recently suspended his popular “micro-blog”, the conversation that Ren helped create has not disappeared along with it.

An article in the Globe and Mail entitled, China’s Crackdown on Free Speech Sparking Growing Dissent further explores the rising dissent in China and lists three examples to begin the article:

A member of China’s top political advisory body calling for free speech. An employee at the state-run Xinhua news service publicly decrying the “massive” suppression of online expression. The granddaughter of a famous Chinese military general openly calling for democracy. A Communist-controlled news site publishing a letter demanding the resignation of President Xi Jinping.

The article goes on to say that President Xi’s ideological tightening “wasn’t supposed to look like this.” In fact, March has seen an unprecedented reaction to Xi’s political and technological crackdown.

Enough is enough. It’s bound to trigger some kind of reaction,” said Bao Pu, a publisher in Hong Kong whose father is a high-ranking Communist official turned political prisoner and dissident after the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre. “What you see is just the tip of the iceberg of discontent.”

Quite so. People may believe that the extreme discontent we’re seeing in today’s political arenas in the US, Europe and China are simply an aberration. They are not.

It should be very obvious to anyone who looks that the Internet Reformation is gathering strength, undermining the world’s existing institutions and systems.

Conclusion: The Internet has fundamentally changed society by making information more widely available to the population. Being able to more easily express dissent and to join forces with others is posing an increasing threat to the established order. Tomorrow’s world will not look like today’s.

Robot kills worker at Volkswagen factory in Germany

Self-parking car MOW’S DOWN journalists as demonstration goes horribly wrong: http://wp.me/p17PKt-8zV

This latest story has to be a PR nightmare for Volkswagon. The German publication Deitsche Welle, reports the robot “grabbed the 22yr old worker and crushed him against a metal plate.”

“The Terminator” eerily comes to mind…maybe it was human error. If not, it’s highly doubtful Volkswagon would make it public.

The Financial Times reports that a technician has been killed by a robot at a Volkswagen plant near Kassel, Germany.

A 21 year old external contractor was installing the robot together with a colleague when he was struck in the chest by the robot and pressed against a metal plate. He later died of his injuries, reports Chris Bryant, the FT’s Frankfurt correspondent.

An investigation into how the accident occurred is under way. In this plant, robots are kept behind safety cages to prevent accidental contact with humans.

The man who died was inside the safety cage when the accident happened. A second worker was outside the cage, and was not harmed.

A Volkswagen rep told the paper that the robot “was not one of the new generation of lightweight collaborative robots that work side-by-side with workers on the production line and forgo safety cages,” and had no known technical defect.

Self-parking car MOW’S DOWN journalists as demonstration goes horribly wrong

Note: This curious story is brought to readers by courtesy of Jim Stone’s blog, his comment:

Self parking Volvo journalist mow down not a hoax

When I first heard of this, I blew it off as satire. As it turns out it is true. In a demonstration of Volvo’s self parking ability presentation to journalists AT A VOLVO DEALER in the Dominican Republic, the Volvo sat, thought, and then made the decision to mow the journalists down because they were standing in front of the parking space and The car’s buyers did not pay to have the “human avoidance” system enabled and the dealer did not know it had to be to avoid hitting people!

What a reason for it to mow people down! HERE IS THE REAL REASON WHY THIS HAPPENED:

Volvo decided to split the collision avoidance system up into options, the way insurance companies won’t give you straight insurance – you have to buy flood, fire, theft, and storm insurance as separate packages. You always get one item free when you purchase insurance, but have to add other items on as supplemental coverage so the insurer makes additional profit and VOLVO DID THIS WITH THE COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM. If all you do is get the basic collision avoidance, their cars will not hit other cars. But if you want them to not hit people, you have to pay for that separately! Certainly then “avoid telephone pole” “Avoid rock in the road” and “avoid wall and train” are separate options as well. At any rate, you can see in the linked video (below) that the car is thinking about what to do because people are in the way, and it then makes the WRONG CHOICE simply because “recognize and avoid people” was not paid for.

This is so ludicrous it makes the entire feature worthless and I thought it had to be a joke, especially with Volvo, which is famous for getting it right. But you know, common core style education and “profiteering suck every last dime corporatism” has taken root practically everywhere and This video is proof of how stupid company management and “squeeze every last dime” marketing has become, I am sure the Volvo engineers are proud of the marketing department and company management with this one!

Thank goodness nobody was seriously injured when AI went awry….

Published on May 27, 2015

The Volvo XC60 actually sped up when it was supposed to park itself. Volvo still has a few kinks to iron out when it comes to its driverless robotic cars – as this brutal video makes clear.
A demonstration of the Volvo XC60’s self-parking feature went badly wrong when it instead accelerated and mowed down several journalists covering the event.

The incident took place in the Dominican Republic and was originally caught by the website Remolacha. According to the site, the reason for the out-of-control manoeuvre was down to human error. Someone disabled the car’s City Safety feature, which uses a laser to detect obstacles and automatically apply the brakes.

It reports that the men only received minor bruising from the accident. Which is more than we can say for Volvo’s public relations department.

Worlds First Gravity Powered Lightbulb

Posted by Sean Adl-Tabatabai

700x400

A team of engineers from the UK have invented the worlds first lightbulb powered by the force of gravity.

The device, named GravityLight, relies on a small amount of weight to be applied to it on one end, which then acts as a pulley – giving the user around 20-30 minutes of light.

Sciencealert.com reports:

The team is now crowd-funding the second version of GravityLight on Indiegogo, with the hope that they can raise US$199,000 in order to make their light brighter, longer-lasting and easier to use.

The light itself will only cost around US$10. This is a whole lot cheaper than kerosene lamps, which not only pose a high fire risk and spew out carcinogens, they also burn through about 30 percent of a family’s income, according to the GravityLight team.

GravityLight will be initially targeted to families in developing countries, with an initial focus on Kenya, and the team is hoping to provide local jobs by creating and selling the lights over there.

Of course, the best thing about gravity is that it’s free (well, that, and the fact that it stops us all from floating off into space), so once the initial investment has been made, the lights literally cost nothing to run. We love it when people use simple science to help solve global problems.

Here’s Why Steve Jobs Didn’t Let His Kids Use iPads and Why You Shouldn’t Either

steve jobs-family

The post was originally published on NextShark.com

If you fall within the Gen-Y era like us, chances are you’ve given a bunch of thought as to how you would raise your own children in this day and age (assuming you don’t have children already). Especially with technology, so much has changed since our childhoods in the 90s. Here’s one question: Would you introduce the technological wonder/heroin that is the iPod and iPad to your kids?

Steve Jobs wouldn’t, and for good reason too.

In a Sunday article, New York Times reporter Nick Bilton said he once assumingly asked Jobs, “So your kids must love the iPad?”

Jobs responded:

“They haven’t used it. We limit how much technology our kids use at home.”

Especially in Silicon Valley, there is actually a trend of tech execs and engineers who shield their kids from technology. They even send their kids to non-tech schools like the Waldorf School in Los Altos, where computers aren’t found anywhere because they only focus on hands-on learning.

There is a quote that was highlighted in The Times by Chris Anderson, CEO of 3D Robotics and a father of five. He explains what drives those who work in tech to keep it from their kids.

“My kids accuse me and my wife of being fascists and overly concerned about tech, and they say that none of their friends have the same rules…  That’s because we have seen the dangers of technology firsthand. I’ve seen it in myself, I don’t want to see that happen to my kids.”

If our current addictions to our iPhones and other tech is any indication, we may be setting up our children for incomplete, handicapped lives devoid of imagination, creativity and wonder when we hook them onto technology at an early age. We were the last generation to play outside precisely because we didn’t have smartphones and laptops. We learned from movement, hands-on interaction, and we absorbed information through books and socialization with other humans as opposed to a Google search.

Learning in different ways has helped us become more well-rounded individuals — so, should we be more worried that we are robbing our children of the ability to Snapchat and play “Candy Crush” all day if we don’t hand them a smartphone, or should we more worried that we would be robbing them of a healthier, less dependent development if we do hand them a smartphone? I think Steve Jobs had it right in regard to his kids.

So the next time you think about how you will raise your kids, you may want to (highly) consider not giving them whatever fancy tech we’ll have while they are growing up. Play outside with them and surround them with nature; they might hate you, but they will absolutely thank you for it later, because I’m willing to bet that’s exactly how many of us feel about it now that we are older.

The Face Behind Bitcoin

The Face Behind Bitcoin
Priest + Grace

This story has been appended to include a statement from Dorian Nakamoto received on March 19th when Newsweek was first contacted directly by Mr. Nakamoto’s attorney, denying his role in Bitcoin.

Satoshi Nakamoto stands at the end of his sunbaked driveway looking timorous. And annoyed.

He’s wearing a rumpled T-shirt, old blue jeans and white gym socks, without shoes, like he has left the house in a hurry. His hair is unkempt, and he has the thousand-mile stare of someone who has gone weeks without sleep.

Try Newsweek for only $1.25 per week

He stands not with defiance, but with the slackness of a person who has waged battle for a long time and now faces a grave loss.

Two police officers from the Temple City, Calif., sheriff’s department flank him, looking puzzled. “So, what is it you want to ask this man about?” one of them asks me. “He thinks if he talks to you he’s going to get into trouble.”

“I don’t think he’s in any trouble,” I say. “I would like to ask him about Bitcoin. This man is Satoshi Nakamoto.”

“What?” The police officer balks. “This is the guy who created Bitcoin? It looks like he’s living a pretty humble life.”

I’d come here to try to find out more about Nakamoto and his humble life. It seemed ludicrous that the man credited with inventing Bitcoin – the world’s most wildly successful digital currency, with transactions of nearly $500 million a day at its peak – would retreat to Los Angeles’s San Gabriel foothills, hole up in the family home and leave his estimated $400 million of Bitcoin riches untouched. It seemed similarly implausible that Nakamoto’s first response to my knocking at his door would be to call the cops. Now face to face, with two police officers as witnesses, Nakamoto’s responses to my questions about Bitcoin were careful but revealing.

Tacitly acknowledging his role in the Bitcoin project, he looks down, staring at the pavement and categorically refuses to answer questions.

“I am no longer involved in that and I cannot discuss it,” he says, dismissing all further queries with a swat of his left hand. “It’s been turned over to other people. They are in charge of it now. I no longer have any connection.”

Nakamoto refused to say any more, and the police made it clear our conversation was over.

But a two-month investigation and interviews with those closest to Nakamoto and the developers who worked most frequently with him on the out-of-nowhere global phenomenon that is Bitcoin reveal the myths surrounding the world’s most famous crypto-currency are largely just that – myths – and the facts are much stranger than the well-established fiction.

Far from leading to a Tokyo-based whiz kid using the name “Satoshi Nakamoto” as a cipher or pseudonym (a story repeated by everyone from Bitcoin’s rabid fans to The New Yorker), the trail followed by Newsweek led to a 64-year-old Japanese-American man whose name really is Satoshi Nakamoto. He is someone with a penchant for collecting model trains and a career shrouded in secrecy, having done classified work for major corporations and the U.S. military.

Standing before me, eyes downcast, appeared to be the father of Bitcoin.

Not even his family knew.

3.7_FE0108_Bitcoin_04 Satoshi Nakamoto at the edge of a hill in Lancaster Preserve Satoshi Nakamoto Photobucket

There are several Satoshi Nakamotos living in North America and beyond – both dead and alive – including a Ralph Lauren menswear designer in New York and another who died in Honolulu in 2008, according to the Social Security Index’s Death Master File. There’s even one on LinkedIn who claims to have started Bitcoin and is based in Japan. But none of these profiles seem to fit other known details and few of the leads proved credible. Of course, there is also the chance “Satoshi Nakamoto” is a pseudonym, but that raises the question why someone who wishes to remain anonymous would choose such a distinctive name. It was only while scouring a database that contained the registration cards of naturalized U.S. citizens that a Satoshi Nakamoto turned up whose profile and background offered a potential match. But it was not until after ordering his records from the National Archives and conducting many more interviews that a cohesive picture began to take shape.

Two weeks before our meeting in Temple City, I struck up an email correspondence with Satoshi Nakamoto, mostly discussing his interest in upgrading and modifying model steam trains with computer-aided design technologies. I obtained Nakamoto’s email through a company he buys model trains from.

He has been buying train parts from Japan and England since he was a teenager, saying, “I do machining myself, manual lathe, mill, surface grinders.”

The process also requires a good amount of math, something at which Nakamoto – and his entire family – excels. The eldest of three brothers who all work in engineering and technical fields, Nakamoto graduated from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, Calif., with a degree in physics. But unlike his brothers, his circuitous career path is very hard to trace.

Nakamoto ceased responding to emails I’d sent him immediately after I began asking about Bitcoin. This was in late February. Before that, I’d also asked about his professional background, for which there is very little to be found in the public record. I only received evasive answers. When he asked about my background, I told him I’d be happy to elaborate over the phone and called him to introduce myself. When there was no response, I asked his oldest son, Eric Nakamoto, 31, to reach out and see whether his father would talk about Bitcoin. The message came back he would not. Attempts through other family members also failed.

Swedish Office Block Pushes Microchips on its Staff

2015-01-30 2:12

From: bbc.com

Sweden is heading over the cliff in multiple areas, all at once. They are pushing the abolition of cash, run amok state feminism, gender war, pacification of the police and perhaps even more frightening: open borders. A policy that have given the country a “gold medal” in asylum seeker acceptance. Run away mass immigration into Sweden will eventually lead to the small native minority population to become endangered in their own country, if current trends continue.

Another item that Sweden continue to push is micro-chipping, a favorite node point in the global surveillance grid pushed by the globalists elite for decades now.

Here is the positive, casual and worry free write up from BBC:

A new office block in Sweden is offering workers the chance to have a microchip implanted under their skin to allow them to access to various services within the building.

A tiny gadget the size of a grain of rice is implanted in employees hands. It then allows them to open doors, or use the photocopier, without a traditional pass card.

Rory Cellan-Jones went to try it out.

Easy as 1 2 3

What they don’t tell you is that microchips also gives you cancer.

The Race is on to Develop Free Energy Technology: Searl Technology Australia Pty Ltd

Good-bye fossil fuels! Here’s another great example of free energy technology in development…

About us

Searl Technology Australia Pty Ltd (STA) was established in late June 2011 following the conclusions to agreements with Searl Magnetics Inc. (SMI).

Following further negotiations to upgrade the original License Agreement with SMI with the parent company, Searl Technology Inc. (STI), of which SMI became a subsidiary in early 2012, the period of the License was extended to 50 years.

STA has acquired the exclusive license rights to sub-license, import, manufacture, wholesale, retail and lease the SEG in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands region.

Stanford Physicist: Vast, Powerful Realm Between Particles Influenced by Human Consciousness

By , Epoch Times | March 1, 2014

Stanford University Professor Emeritus William A. Tiller has been researching a level of physical reality hitherto undetectable with conventional measurement instruments.

He says two kinds of substances exist:

1. The electric atom/molecule level: Substances on this level can be measured with traditional instruments. We can measure them because they are electric-charge based.

2. The magnetic information waves level: Tiller explains in an introduction to his research on his website: “This new level of substance, because it appears to function in the physical vacuum (the empty space between the fundamental electric particles that make up our normal electric atoms and molecules), is currently invisible to us and to our traditional measurement instruments.”

This second type of substance has great power, and it is affected by human thought.

Power of the Magnetic Information Waves

Tiller put the energy of the magnetic information waves level into perspective in an interview for the documentary “What the Bleep Do We Know?” (See the interviews below) He compared the latent energy of the entire known universe to the latent energy in the vacuum inside a single hydrogen atom.

The latent energy in one atom is a trillion times that estimated to exist in the space of the known universe.

“Just that little bit of vacuum outweighs all the mass and all the planets and all the stars,” he said. This comparison assumes the universe is fairly flat, which astronomers say it is. Tiller said the calculations are not 100 percent accurate, but they are accurate enough to give us an idea of the amount of energy in this second type of substance he talks about in the vacuum.

How Human Intention Takes Effect

Tiller says he has been able to detect this hitherto invisible substance, but only when it interacts with the electric molecule/atom type substance we can conventionally measure.

Human consciousness spurs this interaction.

An intention projected from a person’s mind seems to increase the conductivity between the atom/molecule level and the vacuum level.

“Consciousness lifts the higher thermodynamic free energy state [of the vacuum level], then we can access the physics of the vacuum,” Tiller says. “Accessing that new physics allows intention to bring forth effects you wouldn’t imagine.”

The consciousness can, in a way, affect or interact with a power greater than anything conventional instruments have been able to measure thus far.

Tesla’s Most Suppressed Quote

“Explaining the Workings of the Universe without recognizing the existence of the ether is futile.” – Nikola Tesla

Tesla had moved beyond electrical engineering to Aetheric engineering and threatened the very billionaires he had made rich. Tesla was not the type to back down and got buried.

Joseph P. Farrell & Scott D. de Hart – Hour 1 – Alchemical Transhumanism: Grimoire Technology & The New Man

December 2, 2013
Scott D. de Hart has spent the last 20 years as a writer, teacher, professor, and researcher. He has dedicated much of the last two decades of his life as a college professor and is also an author, and high school English teacher. Joseph P. Farrell has a B.A. in Biblical Studies and Philosophy, an M.A. in Historical and Theological Studies, and a Ph.D. in Patristics. He is the author of many books in the field of alternative research. Scott and Joseph will discuss their co-authored book, Transhumanism: A Grimoire of Alchemical Agendas. We’ll hear about how the transhumanist agenda is rooted in old esoteric occult traditions that aim to reunify the fallen, broken man into the ultimate being. Joseph and Scott explain the primordial drive behind technology. Also, Scott ties in various works of fiction that reveal messages of alchemical transformation. Then, we’ll discuss the creation of a new unified man through technology. In the transhumanist’s world there will be no place for the individual and humanity is taken out of the equation. In the second hour, we’ll talk about the 4 steps in the declension of mankind beginning with androgyny and the technological fusion with humanity at each of the 4 levels. We’ll also discuss modern technology that is presenting questions of ownership and what nightmare scenarios may arise because of it. At what point are we no longer human but owned by a corporation or the state? Later, we question if artificial intelligence already have taken over. Yet in the end, a system that is unhuman, therefore means that no human can live

Notice (Updated as of December 20, 2013):

After careful review of all geothermal bids, Hawaii Electric Light has determined that none of the submitted bids sufficiently met both the low-cost and technical requirements of the Geothermal RFP. We are currently working with the Independent Observer to develop a request that will be sent to the bidders. The request will give the bidders the opportunity to provide additional information so that we can make an informed decision that is in the best interests of our customers and residents and that meets the goals of the Geothermal RFP. These goals include lowering customer bills, reducing our dependence on fossil fuels, allowing for continued integration and management of intermittent renewable resources, maintaining reliability of service, and protecting the health and safety of the public and environment. We appreciate the efforts the bidders have made to date and look forward to working with them and the Independent Observer on next steps.
